\n\t\u201cRansom Canyon<\/a>\u201d is officially returning this summer, with Netflix announcing that Season 2 will premiere on July 23. The eight-episode second season will continue the sweeping western drama, alongside newly released first-look images and an official synopsis.<\/p>\n

\n\tSet against the backdrop of Texas Hill Country, the series follows interconnected families navigating love, legacy and long-held rivalries in a tight-knit town. According to the official synopsis, Season 2 \u201cpicks up six months after the events of the first season, with rancher Staten Kirkland (Josh Duhamel<\/a>) fighting to reclaim his legacy after being unseated as trustee of his family\u2019s Double K Ranch, while musician Quinn O\u2019Grady (Minka Kelly<\/a>) must decide if her heart truly belongs in the small town she once tried to outrun or in the fast-paced world of New York City. Are they star-crossed lovers, or fated to be together?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe series stars Duhamel and Kelly, alongside a returning ensemble that includes Lizzy Greene, who is set to appear in the upcoming Netflix feature drama \u201cThe 99ers,\u201d which chronicles the 1999 U.S. Women\u2019s National Soccer Team\u2019s World Cup win. Also featured is Garrett Wareing, who previously starred in \u201cThe Long Walk\u201d and will next be seen in \u201cChasing Summer,\u201d which premiered at Sundance earlier this year.<\/p>\n

\n\tAdditional cast members include Jack Schumacher, Marianly Tejada, Casey W. Johnson, Patricia Clarkson, Ben Robson, Heidi Engerman, Tatanka Means, Justin Johnson Cortez, Philip Winchester, Jennifer Ens, Brett Cullen and Niko Guardado.<\/p>\n

\n\tCreated and executive produced by April Blair, the series is also executive produced by Duhamel and Kelly alongside Dan Angel, Bradley Gardner, and Joe Fazzio. <\/p>\n
