Digital Underground rapper Cleetis Mack has died suddenly, according to a spokesperson for the alternative hip-hop group that spawned the career of Tupac Shakur.<\/p>\n
His age was unclear, and no cause of death was given, reported TMZ.<\/p>\n
The rapper\u2019s death \u201cleaves a void in our Digital Underground family and in our hearts that can never truly be filled,\u201d a group spokesperson told TMZ<\/a>.<\/p>\n Mack, nicknamed Clee, had been part of the group since 1993, when it was 6 years old. His first single was \u201cWussup Wit the Luv\u201d and featured 2Pac.<\/p>\n \u201cI hate to bring this news,\u201d wrote the administrator of a Facebook page dedicated to Digital Underground co-founder Shock G, who died in 2021<\/a>. \u201cWe lost another member of the DU family<\/a> today. A really great cat from top to bottom. RIP Cleetis \u2018Clee\u2019 Mack.\u201d<\/p>\n The post also highlighted Mack\u2019s contributions to \u201csome of the best DU and family tracks,\u201d which included \u201cPick-A-Part,\u201d \u201cLa Vida Broka,\u201d \u201cDrank A Lot\u201d and \u201cHolla Holiday.\u201d<\/p>\n Tributes poured in Tuesday.<\/p>\n
