{"id":46161,"date":"2025-09-05T22:42:08","date_gmt":"2025-09-05T22:42:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/46161\/"},"modified":"2025-09-05T22:42:08","modified_gmt":"2025-09-05T22:42:08","slug":"sabrina-carpenter-album-sees-biggest-opening-week-for-non-uk-artist-in-2025-the-irish-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/46161\/","title":{"rendered":"Sabrina Carpenter album sees biggest opening week for non-UK artist in 2025 \u2013 The Irish News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Sabrina Carpenter\u2019s latest record Man\u2019s Best Friend has seen the biggest opening week for an international artist on the UK albums chart this year, the Official Charts Company has confirmed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The LP, which has prompted debate over its provocative cover, topped the chart on Friday shifting 85,500 units in its first seven days, beating the 2025 record held by Lady Gaga\u2019s Mayhem, which managed 55,500 units in March.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Sam Fender holds the overall record for the biggest opening week of the year managing 107,000 units with People Watching.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Man\u2019s Best Friend also topped the vinyl albums chart for the most sold physical record of the week, while the US singer\u2019s previous albums Short \u2018N\u2019 Sweet (2024) and Emails I Can\u2019t Send (2023) reached number eight and number 21 in this week\u2019s albums chart.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"c-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.irishnews.com\/entertainment\/bbcs-the-guest-review-giggle-inducing-thriller-which-assumes-viewers-attention-spans-have-been-deadened-by-social-media-KYDABNGBDRFOTLBGAMOWB6CT4E\/\" aria-hidden=\"true\" tabindex=\"-1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"BBC&#x2019;s The Guest review: Giggle-inducing thriller which assumes viewers&#x2019;
