Both shows performed solidly for the network on Wednesdays this season, with Shifting Gears airing in the first half of the season and the Scrubs revival in the spring.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe multi-camera Shifting Gears, starring Tim Allen and Kat Dennings, will air its third season in 2026-27. It was ABC\u2019s most watched comedy in linear ratings this season, averaging 5.4 million viewers with seven days of DVR playback. With streaming included, the show grew to about 7 million viewers per episode after a week.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe Scrubs revival will get a second season at the network. It premiered to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-news\/marshals-premiere-20-million-viewers-streaming-dvr-1236529323\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">9 million cross-platform viewers<\/a> over its first seven days and grew to 11 million in Nielsen\u2019s 35-day, all-platform ratings. In linear ratings only, it was also ABC\u2019s No. 1 comedy among adults 18-49 this season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tWith these two pickups, ABC has renewed all but one of its current scripted shows for next season \u2014\u00a0only first-year drama R.J. Decker remains in limbo. The network previously ordered new seasons of 911, 911: Nashville, Abbott Elementary, Grey\u2019s Anatomy, High Potential, The Rookie and Will Trent. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tAllen executive produces Shifting Gears with Michelle Nader, Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, Richard Baker, Rick Messina, John Pasquin, Jim Patterson, Bob Daily and John Amodeo.
