Today, Google Translate is used by more than a billion people to connect every month. In celebration of the anniversary, Google has released some interesting stats about Translate.<\/p>\n<p>The top 10 most popular language pairs in Canada are English to Chinese, English to Spanish, English to French, Spanish to English, French to English, English to Arabic, English to Farsi, Chinese to English, English to Russian, and Russian to English. Google Translate supports more than 95% of the world\u2019s population, with 200+ countries and nearly 250 languages, including endangered languages and Indigenous languages like Inuktut.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1500\" height=\"1500\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Top-5-Translate-Language-Pairings-in-Canada.jpg\" alt=\"Google Translate\" class=\"wp-image-34901\" style=\"width:362px;height:auto\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>People\u00a0translate around one-trillion words every month\u00a0across Translate, Search, Lens, and Circle to Search. One-in-three users go beyond translation to learn, and about a third of users on mobile turn to Translate to practice speaking and listening in real-world scenarios.<\/p>\n<p>Google says it\u2019s also seeing conversations get longer and deeper, with more natural back-and-forth conversations across multiple languages. More than half of Live Translate sessions now last longer than five minutes. Nearly half of weekly active learners are using interactive speaking features, not just reading text translations.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1920\" height=\"818\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Most-Common-Translated-Phrases-US.jpg\" alt=\"Google Translate\" class=\"wp-image-34900\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>Google continues to enhance Translate. With the Android app, you can use a \u201cpractice\u201d button that leverages AI to analyze your speech and provide instant feedback.
