{"id":46691,"date":"2025-09-06T05:19:13","date_gmt":"2025-09-06T05:19:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/46691\/"},"modified":"2025-09-06T05:19:13","modified_gmt":"2025-09-06T05:19:13","slug":"limerick-brushstrokes-at-ballyfin-autumn-winter-residency-unveiled","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/46691\/","title":{"rendered":"Limerick brushstrokes at Ballyfin: Autumn Winter residency unveiled"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TWO LIMERICK artists have been selected to take part in Ballyfin Demesne\u2019s prestigious artist-in-residency programme.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As part of its Autumn Winter programme both Martian Finnin and Donald Teskey will allow for guests of the Co Laois hotel to observe their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.limerickleader.ie\/section\/297\/what-s-on\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">creative<\/a> processes.<\/p>\n<p>This opportunity follows on from the success of its inaugural artist-in-residency programme with UK-based artist Andrew Gifford.<\/p>\n<p>READ MORE:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.limerickleader.ie\/news\/community\/1881735\/rescued-victorian-pipe-organ-is-key-to-special-mass-in-limerick.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Rescued Victorian pipe organ is key to special Mass in Limerick<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Martin Finnin\u2019s residency will run from September 7-10.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Martin was born in Limerick in 1968, having studied in the Limerick School of Art and briefly at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin.<\/p>\n<p>After this Martin moved to London where he began working on building sites while dedicating his spare time to drawing and studying at the National Gallery.
