WELL, CINCINNATI STAPLE COULD BE COMING BACK TO THE QUEEN CITY. THERE’S TALK THAT K R P COULD BE MAKING A RETURN. THE ASSOCIATED PRESS SAYS THE FAMOUS CALL LETTERS ARE ACTUALLY BEING AUCTIONED OFF, AND RIGHT NOW THEY ARE OWNED BY A MEDIA NONPROFIT IN NORTH CAROLINA. THE POPULAR SITCOM RAN FROM 1978 TO 1982. OFFICIALS IN NORTH CAROLINA SAY THEY AREN’T ALLOWED TO LEGALLY DISCLOSE WHAT THE COMEBACK COULD LOOK LIKE, BUT SAYS THAT IT WILL HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH RADIO. AND THIS IS SO FUNNY BECAUSE. OKAY, SO BEFORE I MOVED HERE, I SAID TO MY PARENTS, I REALLY LIKE CINCINNATI. I REALLY THINK I WANT TO MOVE TO CINCINNATI BECAUSE IT WAS ABOUT 3.5 HOURS FROM WHERE I WAS LIVING IN EASTERN KENTUCKY. SO I COME EVERY NOW AND THEN, AND MY DAD SAID, YOU GOT TO WATCH WKRP IN CINCINNATI THEN. AND SO I STARTED WATCHING AND IT WAS, YOU KNOW, I THOUGHT IT WAS REALLY FUNNY. DID YOU KNOW THAT IT WAS THAT THERE WASN’T A REAL RADIO STATION? I KNEW I KNEW ENOUGH ABOUT THE, YOU KNOW, THE CALL LETTERS IN TOWN AND STUFF. TRUST ME, I’VE BEEN WATCHING ALL THE STATIONS LIKE A HAWK TRYING TO LOOK FOR A JOB OPENING HERE. BUT YEAH, I JUST THIS SHOW, TO ME IS SPECIAL BECAUSE IT REMINDS ME OF WHEN I WANTED TO GET HERE. I LOVE THAT SHOW, OF COURSE, BUT I ALWAYS GIGGLE BECAUSE, YOU KNOW, SOMETIMES WHEN YOU’RE OUT OF TOWN AND PEOPLE SAY, OH, WHAT DO YOU DO? AND YOU SAY, OH, I JUST WORK IN NEWS AND, YOU KNOW, IN CINCINNATI. AND IT’S LIKE, OH, DID YOU WORK FOR WKRP IN CINCINNATI? AND I ALWAYS FEEL, AWKWARD SAYING, YOU KNOW, THAT DIDN’T THAT STATION DIDN’T. THAT WAS JUST TELEVISION. YEAH, YEAH, YEAH, FUN FUN SHOW. SO IT’LL BE EXCITING TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS. OKAY. I KNOW A LOT OF YOU, ONE OF MY BEST GIRLFRIENDS, SHE’S PLANNING HER SUN DRESS FOR FOR PICTURES, YOU KNOW, WITH THE FAMILY ON SUNDAY. AND OF COURSE, THE KIDS, ESPECIALLY THE LITTLE ONES WITH THOSE CUTE LITTLE SUN DRESSES. AND IT’S JUST GOING TO BE COLD. IT’S GOING TO BE COLD ON SUNDAY. BUT IF YOU WANT TO DO THAT AND PRETEND TOMORROW MORNING, YOU WILL HAVE TIME AND IT WILL BE PLENTY WARM. SO TOMORROW MORNING THAT’S WHEN YOU SHOULD GET YOUR EASTE

Legendary WKRP is back on Cincinnati radio.
