\n\tAs announced across social media on Monday (May 4), Twenty One Pilots<\/a> is set to perform at the 52nd American Music Awards<\/a>. The duo has two nominations \u2013 best rock\/alternative artist and best rock\/alternative album for their eighth studio album Breach, which topped the Billboard 200 last fall.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe duo, consisting of Tyler Joseph<\/a> and Josh Dunn, won in both categories last year, taking the award for best rock\/alternative album with their previous album, Clancy. This year they are competing for best rock\/alternative artist with Deftones, Linkin Park, The Mar\u00edas and Sleep Token. They are vying for best rock\/alternative album with Sleep Token\u2019s Even in Arcadia, sombr\u2019s I Barely Know Her, Tame Impala\u2019s Deadbeat and Zach Bryan\u2019s With Heaven on Top.<\/p>\n

\n\tAnother group, KATSEYE<\/a>, was previously announced as a performer on this year\u2019s show.<\/p>\n

\n\tQueen Latifah<\/a> will host the annual special, which airs live coast-to-coast on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas at 8 p.m. ET \/ 5 p.m. PT on CBS and Paramount+. Latifah has a long history with the AMAs<\/a>, having co-hosted the show in 1995 with Tom Jones and Lorrie Morgan.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe 52nd American Music\u00a0Awards<\/a>\u00a0will air on CBS and stream on Paramount+ on Memorial Day for the second year in a row. \u00a0Tickets are now available on AXS<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tNominations for the 52nd American Music Awards were announced on Tuesday, April 14. Fan voting opened the same day and will remain open until May 8.<\/p>\n

\n\tLast year\u2019s 51st American Music Awards reached over 10 million unique viewers across its CBS and Paramount+ premiere and encores on MTV, CMT, and BET. The CBS broadcast marked the show\u2019s largest audience since 2019 with a +38% increase over its last live airing in 2022 on ABC.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe American Music Awards are produced by Dick Clark Productions, which is owned by Penske Media Eldridge, a joint venture between Eldridge Industries and Billboard parent company Penske Media.<\/p>\n
