Dolly Parton is canceling her Las Vegas residency in the wake of her\u00a0ongoing health issues<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 80-year-old country music legend shared the news in a social media video Monday, eight months after she postponed the residency<\/a> from December 2025 to September.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have some good news and a little bad news,\u201d Parton said in her video<\/a>. \u201cThe good news is I\u2019m responding really well to meds and treatments and I\u2019m improving every day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dolly Parton said in a social media message on Monday that her Las Vegas residency is canceled. dollyparton\/instagram<\/p>\n

The country singer said she needs more time to return to the stage and perform due to her health issues. dollyparton\/instagram<\/p>\n

But Parton\u2019s \u201cbad news\u201d is that \u201cit\u2019s gonna take [her] a little while\u201d before she\u2019s \u201cup to stage performance level,\u201d so she\u2019s canceling her planned six-show \u201cDolly: Live in Las Vegas.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI am truly sorry that I\u2019m going to miss all of you that had tickets to see me in Las Vegas. Well, you get on to Vegas, and you have a big time\u2026 And I\u2019ll see you somewhere down the line,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Parton continued, \u201cI\u2019m doing really well, and they assure me that everything I have is treatable, so I\u2019m going with that, and I just want you to know I thank you for standing by me and that I will always love you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Parton also said that she\u2019s \u201cdoing well\u201d and her health problems are all \u201ctreatable.\u201d Getty Images<\/p>\n

Later in her video, Parton addressed her husband Carl Dean\u2019s death<\/a>. He died in March 2025 at 82.<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of you have been concerned about me and Carl, and you were so great about that,\u201d she said. \u201cBut after going through a year of firsts, I mean the holidays, and especially our wedding anniversary, and the date of his death, March 3, that was hard for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Parton explained she \u201cwill always love and miss\u201d her late husband, before adding that everyone\u2019s \u201clove and concern\u201d has helped her get through the tragedy.<\/p>\n

In her caption, Parton thanked her fans for \u201cstanding by me and showing me so much love and support over the past year.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cI\u2019ve still got some healing to do, but I am on my way! See you soon. \ud83d\udc96 \ud83e\udd8b.\u201d<\/p>\n

Later in her video, Parton spoke about how she\u2019s been coping with her husband Carl Dean\u2019s death. dollyparton\/Instagram<\/p>\n

Parton said she had a \u201chard\u201d time going through the first year after Dean\u2019s death. dollyparton\/Instagram<\/p>\n

Last September, Parton\u00a0pulled out of an appearance at Dollywood<\/a>\u00a0due to kidney stones. In a taped video message to fans, she said she was following advice from her doctors to rest.<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t worry about me, I\u2019m gonna be OK,\u201d she said. \u201cJust can\u2019t do it today.\u201d<\/p>\n

Later that month, Parton announced she was postponing her Las Vegas residency due to \u201chealth challenges.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures,\u201d she wrote via Instagram at the time.<\/p>\n

The \u201c9 to 5\u201d singer also said that while she\u2019s \u201cstill able to work on all of my projects from here in Nashville,\u201d she needs \u201ca little time to get show ready.\u201d<\/p>\n

Parton had to miss her 80th birthday celebration <\/a>at\u00a0the Grand Ole Opry in January due to her health struggles.<\/p>\n

In a pre-taped video, Parton said, \u201cI wish I could be there in person but I\u2019ll be sending you all my love, for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also told her fans to \u201chave the best night ever.\u201d<\/p>\n
