A new collage of Kouoh by the US artist Derrick Adams, Heavy is the head that wears the crown, emblazons the fa\u00e7ade of\u00a0Palazzetto dello sport Giobatta Gianquinto,\u00a0facing the Rio della Tana near the Arsenale. \u201cThis contemporary icon incorporates a frontal pose, flattened forms, and golden hues\u2014all features that allude to Venice\u2019s Byzantine cultural heritage,\u201d says a statement. <\/p>\n<p class=\"pt-dp-p font-text-light font-light text-lg leading-normal tracking-wide mb-base last:mb-0\" itemprop=\"text\">Kouoh died on 10 May 2025 at the age of 57 after being diagnosed with cancer. The Venice homage was organised by the curator and Venice veteran Francesco Bonami who said: \u201cShe had a fresh, informed voice and eye.
