Jamie-Lynn Sigler claims her ex-husband, AJ Discala, stole hundreds of thousands of dollars she made from the \u201cSopranos\u201d during their marriage in the early aughts.<\/p>\n
The actress admits in her new memoir that when the couple, who were married from 2003-2005, first split, she \u201chadn\u2019t disentangled\u201d financially from the former finance executive<\/p>\n
\u201cI didn\u2019t even know how much money I had or what I was worth,\u201d Sigler writes in\u00a0\u201cAnd So It Is,\u201d<\/a> which came out Tuesday.<\/p>\n According to Sigler, A family friend and accountant took a look at the pair\u2019s finances and allegedly found that hundreds of thousands of dollars was missing.<\/p>\n Jamie-Lynn Sigler claims her ex-husband, AJ Discala (pictured here together in the early aughts), stole her \u201cSopranos\u201d money while they were married. WireImage for ACP<\/p>\n \u201cThe forensic accountant broke down what he believed had been happening,\u201d Sigler writes in the book. \u201cI would be paid a certain amount per episode for \u2018The Sopranos,\u2019 and that would go into my corporation account. The next day, a portion of that money would be moved to our joint account for living expenses.\u201d<\/p>\n The \u201cMob Town\u201d actress claims that a week later, \u201ca much smaller but still sizable amount of that money from our joint account would be moved to a different account that I didn\u2019t have access to or know about.\u201c<\/p>\n Sigler says she still has no idea what happened to the money, but doesn\u2019t care about it anymore.<\/p>\n \u201cThat money is a chapter I want closed forever,\u201d she writes. <\/p>\n Years later, Sigler was thinking about the situation when she was offered a \u201cSopranos\u201d-themed Super Bowl commercial. Untangling those contradictions has taken me years.\u201d<\/p>\n Sigler also writes that Disacala \u201chad an air of confidence about him,\u201d but despite being \u201cincredibly charismatic,\u201d he would allegedly refer to her as his \u201cbitch wife\u201d when he was drunk.<\/p>\n The mom of two played Meadow Soprano in the Emmy-winning HBO crime drama \u201cThe Sopranos\u201d for all six seasons from 1999 to 2007.<\/p>\n Sigler (pictured here in 2026) writes, \u201cTo this day, I don\u2019t know what happened with the money. Getty Images<\/p>\n Sigler muses in the book how her co-star James Gandolfini uncharacteristically skipped her July 2003 wedding<\/a> to Discala.<\/p>\n \u201cPart of me wonders if maybe he didn\u2019t want it for me,\u201d she writes. <\/p>\n At the time of the nuptials, Sigler was 22 and Discala was 32.<\/p>\n And while the actress \u201cexpected some smiles\u201d and well wishes after returning to the \u201cSopranos\u201d set post-wedding, she wrote that \u201cinstead, the room was completely silent.\u201d<\/p>\n The mom of two (pictured here with her co-star James Gandolfini in 2007) starred on \u201cThe Sopranos\u201d for all six seasons from 1999 to 2007. WireImage<\/p>\n \u201cIt was clear: none of them were happy about this for me,\u201d Sigler penned. \u201cIt would take me two long years to understand why.\u201d<\/p>\n Discala is currently serving time in prison after being convicted on two counts of securities and wire fraud conspiracy<\/a> in 2018. He was sentenced to 138 months following a multi-million dollar market manipulation scheme.<\/p>\n Sigler also addressed her year-long relationship with \u201cEntourage\u201d star Jerry Ferrara in her new memoir.<\/p>\n She writes that they \u201cquickly fell into the rhythm of a serious relationship\u201d after meeting on the set of the HBO series.<\/p>\n The actress also opens up about dating her \u201cEntourage\u201d co-star Jerry Ferrara for a year in 2008 (pictured here together in 2009). Getty Images<\/p>\n After getting serious, the \u201cBig Sky\u201d actress knew it was time to tell Ferrara she suffered from multiple sclerosis.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cHe didn\u2019t even flinch,\u201d Sigler says about the actor\u2019s reaction. \u201cMy diagnosis didn\u2019t scare him off.\u201d<\/p>\n However, Sigler \u2014 who was diagnosed in 2002, but didn\u2019t publicly share her diagnosis until 2016 \u2014 recalled her symptoms getting worse.<\/p>\n \u201cBound by our roles\u2014\u00ad he as caretaker, me as patient. I knew he was overwhelmed,\u201d she writes. \u201cI was overwhelmed.
