BERLIN, May 6 (Reuters) – Infineon Technologies raised its full-year guidance on Wednesday as \u200cdemand for power supply solutions for \u200cAI data centers surged and automotive order intake improved, \u200bjoining a wave of chipmakers benefiting from AI infrastructure spending.<\/p>\n
The German chipmaker, which provides parts for automotive, power and security systems, posted \u200csecond-quarter revenue of \u20603.81 billion euros ($4.47 billion), up 6% from the same quarter a year \u2060earlier.<\/p>\n
Infineon now expects revenue to rise significantly year-on-year for fiscal 2026, up from a \u200bprevious forecast \u200bof moderate growth. \u200bIt also raised its \u200c2026 segment result margin target to around 20% from the previously expected high-teens percent range.<\/p>\n
The upgrade reflects higher demand across multiple business areas. “The AI boom strengthens further, and our \u200cpower supply solutions for \u200bAI data centers are \u200bin very high \u200bdemand,” CEO Jochen Hanebeck said \u200cin a statement.<\/p>\n
The company said \u200bit expects \u200brevenue of around 1.5 billion euros from AI data center applications in fiscal \u200b2026, rising \u200cto around 2.5 billion euros in fiscal \u200b2027.<\/p>\n
