Celebs Go Dating star Coleen Nolan opened up on her affair during a recent episode of Loose Women<\/p>\n

Coleen Nolan made a shocking confession during the recent episode of Loose Women<\/a>.<\/p>\n

During Monday\u2019s (May 6) episode of the ITV<\/a> hit chat show, Coleen made a return to our TV screens alongside co-stars Janet Street-porter, Gloria Hunniford and Kaye Adams as they shared their opinions on the week’s trending stories.<\/p>\n

However, it was one segment that took everyone by surprise as the TV panel had a debate on whether women are judged more than men when it comes to cheating.<\/a><\/p>\n

Coleen, 61, took the opportunity to open up about her love life as she admitted that she had an affair during her previous marriage and admitted she felt “vulnerable” at the time.<\/p>\n

Opening up, Coleen said: “I had an affair when I was married, and I would never condone it. I don’t really want to make excuses for it but mine was very different to his [Coleen’s ex].<\/p>\n

“Although I tried to stand out and be great and the perfect wife, I was getting ignored. You know, I was just the mother of the children.<\/p>\n

“I never set out to have an affair but then I met this guy, who all of a sudden showered me with attention and was like \u2018you’re so attractive, you’re so gorgeous\u2019.”<\/p>\n

She continued: “And, of course, I was vulnerable at that point and I fell for it – it was like four or five weeks and I hated myself for it. When I thought about it, I thought, I’m doing this because I want this off my actual husband.<\/p>\n

“When he found out, the heartbreak was horrendous but it actually, for the next couple of years, probably made our marriage stronger because he realised that he had absolutely just ignored me.”<\/p>\n

The TV star added: “I realised that I definitely didn’t want anyone else at that point. So mine was very based on this emotional neglect.”<\/p>\n

Coleen has already been on her first date on E4’s Celebs Go Dating (Image: Channel 4)<\/p>\n

Coleen has been married and divorced twice, first to EastEnders<\/a> actor Shane Richie and then to musician Ray Fensome. She split from her most recent boyfriend, supermarket logistics manager Michael Jones, in 2024.<\/p>\n

Despite Coleen’s previous relationship setbacks, she hasn’t abandoned the idea of finding her perfect match as is currently appearing on E4’s popular programme Celebs Go Dating.<\/p>\n

During a recent episode, Coleen went on a first date with a man named Neil but it wasn’t good news as she said her potential match was “a really nice man” but she “didn\u2019t feel any connection or attraction” to him.<\/p>\n
