Monaghan this morning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Garda\u00ed are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Co. Monaghan this morning.<br \/>Garda\u00ed and emergency services were alerted to an incident on the Broad Road, Monaghan shortly before 1am.<\/p>\n<p>A male pedestrian in his 50s was struck by an SUV and was taken from the scene by ambulance to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.<br \/>He is currently being treated for serious injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The scene has been preserved for examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, and local traffic diversions are in place.<br \/>Garda\u00ed are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.<\/p>\n<p>Any road users who were in the area at the time and may have camera footage, including dash-cam, are asked to make it available to investigating Garda\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with information is asked to contact Monaghan Garda Station on 047 77 200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Garda\u00ed are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Co.
