You can see a trailer above.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe series comes from Fremantle\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/element-pictures\/\" id=\"auto-tag_element-pictures\" data-tag=\"element-pictures\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Element Pictures<\/a>, and was originally for the BBC in the UK. In the U.S., it will stream weekly opn Fridays on the Starz app and other Starz streaming platforms.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tPer the synopsis, The Listeners: \u201cClaire hears a sound that neither her husband nor her daughter can hear. This seemingly innocuous hum triggers migraines, nosebleeds and insomnia, with no obvious source or medical explanation. After weeks of suffering, the strain starts to fracture her relationships with family, friends and colleagues. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cWhen she discovers that a student of hers can also hear the hum, the two strike up an unlikely and intimate friendship that gradually transforms into something more extreme, with devastating consequences.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tAlongside Hall, The Listeners stars\u00a0Prasanna Puwanarajah\u00a0(The Crown, Payback\u201d),\u00a0Ollie West\u00a0(The Sparrow),\u00a0Mia Tharia\u00a0(Phoenix Rise),\u00a0Amr Waked\u00a0(Lucy) and\u00a0Gayle Rankin\u00a0(The Greatest Showman,\u00a0GLOW).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe Listeners is written by Jordan Tannahill, who wrote the novel on which the series is based,\u00a0and directed by\u00a0Janicza Bravo\u00a0(Zola, The Bear). Both also serve as executive producers, alongside Ed Guiney, Andrew Lowe, Chelsea Morgan Hoffmann and Rachel Dargavel for Element Pictures, Rebecca Ferguson for the BBC and Alice Birch. Ed King is the producer and Fremantle handles global sales.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe Listeners\u00a0aired on the BBC nearly 18 months ago, but the Starz deal \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2026\/01\/starz-acquires-bbc-the-listeners-rebecca-hall-1236698418\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">struck in January<\/a> \u2013 is evidence that American buyers still want to keep their services populated with British content.
