Tesco has opened the doors to its brand\u2011new Superstore in Northside Shopping Centre, creating 65 new jobs.<\/p>\n
Open from 8am to 9pm daily, the 20,000 sq. ft store offers customers a bright, modern retail space with a range of Irish food and drink products, alongside local favourites from brands such as Cadbury\u2019s, Freshways, Butlers Chocolates and Golden Bake.<\/p>\n
Shoppers can also enjoy the latest F&F fashion ranges, an in\u2011store bakery, an off\u2011licence, and a DRS machine. The store features energy\u2011efficient lighting and modern fridges with doors to help reduce energy use.<\/p>\n
Store Manager Pamela Geraghty, who has been with Tesco for 28 years, said: \u201cThe response from the community has been fantastic.<\/p>\n
“People are excited to see us open, and we\u2019re just as excited to welcome them in. With a great mix of branded and Tesco own\u2011label products, many sourced from Irish suppliers, we\u2019re confident there\u2019s something here for everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n
Through the Tesco Community Fund, the store\u2019s first donations will go to Scoil Fhursa (Kilmore), St Joseph\u2019s NS (Bonnybrook) and St Francis Senior School (Priorswood).<\/p>\n
The store will also participate in Tesco\u2019s food surplus redistribution programme, working with FoodCloud and OLIO Food Waste Heroes to ensure good food doesn’t go to waste.
