Teen Mom star Catelynn Lowell<\/a> is calling out social media users for body-shaming her daughter Carly online.<\/p>\n
“So I saw recently that a certain page \u2014 pages \u2014 are stealing Carly’s pictures from prom,” she said in a Wednesday, May 6 TikTok video<\/a> about her 16-year-old daughter, whom Lowell and husband Tyler Baltierra placed for adoption in 2009.<\/p>\n
\u201cFirst of all, I don\u2019t agree with it. I think it\u2019s ridiculous. Second of all, why do grown adults feel the need to comment on children\u2019s and minors\u2019 bodies?”<\/p>\n
“First of all, saying that she looks like a skeleton, or she needs to eat cheeseburgers, or she\u2019s too skinny. [My daughter] Nova gets the same crap. It’s disgusting, aren’t we grown here?” she continued. “Do you guys not realize that people can be skinny-shamed? It\u2019s not just, like, a fat thing. Skinny people can be shamed too, and it\u2019s horrible. Knock it off.”<\/p>\n

\u201cKeep your opinions to yourself. When it comes about children, it\u2019s disgusting, and it needs to stop,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Lowell and Baltierra have been together since middle school. On MTV’s 16 and Pregnant<\/a>, they documented Carly’s birth and her adoption process. Though they stayed in contact with Carly through the years, their relationship has since changed.<\/p>\n
In interviews, Baltierra and Lowell have been candid about missed visits<\/a>, being blocked by Carly\u2019s parents<\/a> and experiencing \u201cadoption PTSD.\u201d<\/a> In 2025, the couple revealed they have not had a visit with Carly in two years<\/a>.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs far as our relationship goes, we don\u2019t really have one,\u201d Baltierra said during an April 2026 episode of the Cake For Dinner podcast.<\/a><\/p>\n
