{"id":474470,"date":"2026-05-08T08:30:23","date_gmt":"2026-05-08T08:30:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/474470\/"},"modified":"2026-05-08T08:30:23","modified_gmt":"2026-05-08T08:30:23","slug":"the-echo-chamber-starring-alicia-vikander-boarded-by-paradise-city","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/474470\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;The Echo Chamber&#8217; Starring Alicia Vikander Boarded by Paradise City"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/paradise-city-sales\/\" id=\"auto-tag_paradise-city-sales\" data-tag=\"paradise-city-sales\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Paradise City Sales<\/a> has boarded Andrea Pallaoro\u2019s latest feature \u201cThe Echo Chamber\u201d ahead of the Cannes Film Market, with UTA Independent Film Group co-repping the film for North America.<\/p>\n<p>Starring <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/alicia-vikander\/\" id=\"auto-tag_alicia-vikander\" data-tag=\"alicia-vikander\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Alicia Vikander<\/a> alongside Luca Marinelli and Susan Sarandon, the project was penned by Bernardo Bertolucci alongside Ilaria Bernardini and Ludovica Rampoldi (\u201cPrimavera\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>Currently in post, \u201cThe Echo Chamber\u201d is produced by Indigo Film with Rai Cinema for Italy, and Versus in association with O\u2019Brother Distribution for Belgium. Paradise City Sales previously worked with Indigo on \u201cPrimavera\u201d which sold to more than 70 territories worldwide. Described as a love story between Leo and Anne as they \u201cchase each other\u2014coming close, drifting apart, and searching for their way back,\u201d the synopsis reads. \u201cThey cannot let go, nor break free. Through the rooms, Ava\u2019s voice echoes across time, carrying to the surface what endures\u2014and what can no longer be held back.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pallaoro\u2019s debut feature \u201cMedeas\u201d screened on the Lido before winning multiple international awards, while \u201cHannah,\u201d starring Charlotte Rampling, premiered in competition at Venice where Rampling won the Volpi Cup for best actress. The film later received a C\u00e9sar nomination for best foreign film. His most recent feature, \u201cMonica,\u201d starring Trace Lysette and Patricia Clarkson, also competed for a Golden Lion at Venice. <\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"c-lazy-image__img lrv-u-background-color-grey-lightest lrv-u-width-100p lrv-u-display-block lrv-u-height-auto\" src=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/wp-content\/themes\/pmc-variety-2020\/assets\/public\/lazyload-fallback.gif\" data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/2_The-Echo-Chamber_Luca-Marinelli_Susan-Sarandon_01408592_Indigo-Film_Versus.mov.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-lazy- data-lazy- height=\"683\" width=\"1024\" decoding=\"async\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe creative team also includes cinematographer Diego Garc\u00eda (\u201cCemetery of Splendour,\u201d \u201cNuestro Tiempo\u201d), editor Paola Freddi (\u201cHannah,\u201d \u201cMonica\u201d), production designer Gaspare De Pascali (\u201cPrimavera\u201d) and costume designer Antonella Cannarozzi (\u201cI Am Love\u201d). The score is composed by Academy Award and Golden Globe winner Cl\u00e9ment Ducol, known for \u201cEmilia P\u00e9rez.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jeanne Loriotti, sales executive at Paradise City Sales, described \u201cThe Echo Chamber\u201d as \u201ca rare project that brings together a singular auteur vision, a high-profile international cast and a deeply emotional narrative.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cAndrea Pallaoro reaches a new level of maturity, crafting a film that is both formally striking and profoundly moving,\u201d Loriotti continued. <\/p>\n<p>Indigo Film said, \u201cThis is the final work of Bernardo Bertolucci, who wrote the story and screenplay with Ilaria Bernardini and Ludovica Rampoldi. Andrea Pallaoro has made the film his own, interpreting it through the lens of his personal artistic vision and sensibility.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Echo Chamber\u201d is produced by Nicola Giuliano, Francesca Cima, Carlotta Calori and Viola Prestieri for Indigo Film, Paolo Del Brocco for Rai Cinema, and Jacques-Henri Bronckart and Tatjana Kozar for Versus.
