The winner of a life changing \u20ac8.7 million Lotto jackpot has made contact with the prize team to collect their huge payout.<\/p>\n
A lucky Lotto player in Dublin 12 became the second Lotto jackpot winner of 2026 last Saturday<\/a>, bagging the \u20ac8,726,418 jackpot on the May 2 draw.<\/p>\n During the week, Applegreen Ballymount on Ballymount Avenue in the M50 Business Park was announced as the selling location of the winning ticket<\/a>. The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased on the day of the draw at the Dublin 12 Forecourt.<\/p>\n Now, Lotto bosses have confirmed that the winner has made contact with headquarters, and arrangements are being made for them to collect their prize.<\/p>\n A National Lottery spokesperson told the Irish Mirror: \u201cOur Lotto Jackpot winner has now made contact. The winner contacted our Prize Claims team and arrangements are now underway for them to collect their prize!\u201d<\/p>\n Site Director at Applegreen Ballymount, Tom Hevey, said that the entire team in-store were delighted to hear the news: \u201cGetting a call from the National Lottery<\/a> to say that our store sold a Lotto jackpot ticket worth over \u20ac8.7 million was the best way to get the week started.<\/p>\n \u201cThe entire team in-store were absolutely thrilled to hear that one of our customers spent the Bank Holiday weekend becoming a Lotto jackpot millionaire.<\/p>\n \u201cApplegreen Ballymount is a busy location with local and passing trade, so we hope that the winner checks their ticket soon \u2013 we wish them all the very best with their huge win.\u201d<\/p>\n
