A woman has been sharing updates from her family’s holiday in Spain, but people were floored when she showed her view from her sunbed. Many were left gobsmacked by what they saw<\/p>\n

When holidaying abroad, it’s common to feel the urge to share snaps from the sunbed, but one tourist left people utterly gobsmacked after showing what her videos actually looked like<\/a>. Spain<\/a> is a firm favourite holiday<\/a> destination for many, yet travel<\/a> adventures don’t always go to plan, and one woman made this abundantly clear.<\/p>\n

The woman, who posts as The Kelly Family on TikTok<\/a>, has been documenting her travels across Spain, but viewers were left stunned after she shared the view from her sunbed this week. While it’s perfectly natural to want to document your experiences while enjoying a break in the sun, it wasn’t the scenery that had people glued to their screens.<\/p>\n

She posted footage of the view from her sunbed, and it was far from what people had anticipated. Sometimes you witness things abroad that you’d never have thought possible.<\/a><\/p>\n

Posting from Majorca, she revealed that people “refused” to budge from the pool, but warned that being prepared was essential for sunbathing. This was due to the weather<\/a> being so bitter that she deemed a towel “a must” simply to remain outside.<\/p>\n

Rather than treating followers to glorious sunshine and a breathtaking vista, she instead shared a clip of grey, overcast skies and her legs wrapped up beneath a towel. It was hardly the idyllic holiday image most would expect to see.<\/p>\n

Alongside the clip, she wrote: “That glimmer of sun from this morning is long gone, and we’re using towels as blankets to stay sat on the sunbed longer.”<\/p>\n

In earlier videos, she also revealed the weather had been chilly during their visit. She described it as “freezing” one day, which discouraged her from using the pool.<\/p>\n

Unsurprisingly, the video sparked debate, as holidaymakers typically expect sunshine when they travel. Opinions were sharply divided, however.<\/p>\n

One person said: “I’m here in three weeks. I’m praying for sun.” Another simply replied with laughing face emojis.<\/p>\n

Under a separate video, a third wrote: “What part is this? I’m meant to be going Saturday, and the weather looks absolutely miserable.”<\/p>\n

A fourth also noted: “We arrive on Sunday. I’ve paid my money. Rain or shine, the kids will be in that pool morning, noon and night. I don’t want to hear ‘it’s freezing mummy’. It’ll toughen them up.”<\/p>\n

Others highlighted it’s rather early in the season to anticipate scorching temperatures, though. Someone else wrote: “Early season. It’s to be expected.”<\/p>\n

One more also said: “Early May? It’s Europe. When did we expect a heatwave?” The positive news is that more recently, conditions appear to have brightened for the family, as they were also spotted soaking up some sunshine.<\/p>\n

What people need to know<\/p>\n

Typically, visitors to Majorca in May should anticipate warm, sunny and agreeable weather. The month generally provides an ideal spring-to-summer transition, with average daytime temperatures normally ranging between 22\u00b0C and 25\u00b0C.<\/p>\n

Tourists can anticipate roughly nine to 10 hours of daily sunshine, minimal rainfall and pleasant, temperate evenings. However, favourable weather conditions cannot be guaranteed anywhere, and travellers should always keep this in mind when planning trips.<\/p>\n

Majorca stands as one of Spain and Europe’s most sought-after holiday destinations, attracting millions of visitors each year with its spectacular beaches, dramatic mountain scenery and vibrant nightlife.
