The lead singer of a beloved rock band recently opened up about the group\u2019s future. <\/p>\n
Hayley Williams, vocalist and co-founder of Paramore<\/a>, confirmed the band is on a break but not broken up in an interview with The Face<\/a> that was published Thursday. <\/p>\n Williams, 36, released her third solo project, \u201cEgo Death at a Bachelorette Party,\u201d on August. 28 \u2014 sparking speculation that Paramore may have split up.<\/p>\n Although Paramore hasn\u2019t released any new music since 2023, the \u201cMisery Business\u201d singer said the group always takes long breaks. <\/p>\n \u201cIn order for us to metabolize s— that we go through as people, it takes the amount of time it takes between albums,\u201d Williams said<\/a>.<\/p>\n Williams said it is vindicating knowing that Paramore is beloved but focusing on her solo projects is also important. She also tipped her hat to her bandmates Zac Farro and Taylor York, describing their synergy as \u201cmagic.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThere are no better musicians in the world than Zac and Taylor,\u201d Williams said. \u200b\u201cThere are no better performers than (the touring musicians affectionately known as the) Parafour. It\u2019s just magic, man.\u201d<\/p>\n Paramore was formed in Tennessee in 2004 by Williams, Farro and former guitarist Josh Farro. The pop-punk band achieved great commercial success after releasing its sophomore album \u201cRiot!\u201d in 2007.
