Following Justin Baldoni\u2019s last-minute legal settlement with Blake Lively, the filmmaker\u2019s pal Adam Mondschein isn\u2019t holding back about her Met Gala appearance<\/a> just hours later.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you could hear eyes roll,\u201d Mondschein, 50, exclusively told Page Six when asked about Lively, 38, attending the star-studded event<\/a> following news of the settlement.<\/p>\n

\u201cI really do feel sorry for her, because I see those things as kind of desperate PR attempts to try to prove that everything is, I guess, their version of normal,\u201d he said. \u201cI don\u2019t know, it just feels contrived. Orchestrated. It feels hollow.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you could hear eyes roll,\u201d Adam Mondschein, seen here, said when asked about Lively attending the star-studded event following news of the settlement. FilmMagic<\/p>\n

Mondschein \u2014 who played OBGYN Dr. Dunbar in the controversial delivery-room scene<\/a> in \u201cIt Ends With Us\u201d \u2014 previously defended Baldoni<\/a>, 42, after Lively accused her co-star and director of sexual harassment and fostering a toxic work environment in a bombshell lawsuit filed in December 2024.<\/p>\n

The actor further compared Lively\u2019s Met Gala appearance<\/a> to elaborately wrapped holiday window displays that appear glamorous on the outside but are ultimately \u201cempty\u201d inside.<\/p>\n

\u201cGrowing up in New York City \u2026 I loved going to the city and seeing the Macy\u2019s Day window displays for Christmas,\u201d he explained. \u201cThe presents that they had there were so shiny and wrapped and it was awesome. And there\u2019s nothing in them.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTo me, that\u2019s how it feels,\u201d he continued. \u201cIt feels very hollow. It feels very empty.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, according to Mondschein, Baldoni spent the night of the Met Gala<\/a> privately with loved ones.<\/p>\n

\u201cJustin was with his family and also I think he\u2019s getting over a cold,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The actor became emotional while discussing the toll the public fallout has allegedly taken on Baldoni.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s a real person,\u201d Mondschein said. \u201cHe\u2019s out here experiencing all of this chaos like a human person would. And it\u2019s insurmountable.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe wears his heart on his sleeve, and he\u2019s legit. He\u2019s the real deal,\u201d he continued. \u201cThat\u2019s hard for people because it can come across cheesy at worst, but it\u2019s hard in this industry for people to believe that someone has integrity, that someone really does care.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mondschein went on to praise Baldoni\u2019s past work, including his \u201cThe Man Enough\u201d podcast and his \u201cMy Last Days\u201d documentary series, which follows terminally ill people sharing their stories.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe uses whatever modicum of recognizability he has for good,\u201d Mondschein said. \u201cHe really cares.\u201d<\/p>\n

As Page Six previously reported<\/a>, Lively and Baldoni made the shocking decision\u00a0to settle their lengthy court battle\u00a0on May 4 in what we\u2019re told was a \u201clast-minute deal.\u201d<\/p>\n

A source said that the \u201cIt Ends With Us\u201d co-stars had been negotiating for a few weeks and were encouraged to make a settlement.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey finally came to an agreement today.
