It\u2019s beautiful to relive the memories attached to this project that\u2019s so, so precious to me,\u201d Jackson said. \u201cI don\u2019t see Rhythm Nation as a phenomenon that lives in the past, I believe it\u2019s alive and well in 2026. Rhythm Nation still resonates on a deep and profound level. It\u2019s an ongoing force that fights bigotry and promotes understanding. It cannot be stopped \u2014 it\u2019s simply too strong and too positive. I thank the Grammy organisation for this wonderful honour.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The star-studded event celebrated the induction of several important recordings. Take 6 kicked off the performances for the night, delivering the Soul Stirrers\u2019 inducted recording \u201cJesus Gave Me Water.\u201d It was followed by Taylor Hanson, who performed a faithful acoustic cover of Nick Drake\u2019s\u00a0\u201cPink Moon,\u201d the title song from the late folk singer\u2019s third and final album that was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame, and also made Rolling Stone\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-lists\/best-albums-of-all-time-1062063\/nick-drake-pink-moon-2-1063030\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">500 Greatest Albums of All Time List<\/a>. Hanson released a cover of \u201cPink Moon\u201d in 2024, which appeared on Underneath: Complete, a 20th anniversary reissue of their third album.<\/p>\n<p>Heart\u2019s Ann and Nancy Wilson revisited their band\u2019s debut studio album,\u00a0Dreamboat Annie, for its induction, performing the classics \u201cMagic Man,\u201d the title track, and \u201cCrazy on You.\u201d Fy\u00fctch and Aura V followed with a performance of Ella Jenkins\u2019 \u201cYou\u2019ll Sing a Song and I\u2019ll Sing a Song,\u201d the title track to the inducted album from the late \u201cfirst lady of children\u2019s music.\u201d Their performance was followed by <a id=\"auto-tag_lucinda-williams\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/lucinda-williams\/\" data-tag=\"lucinda-williams\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Lucinda Williams<\/a> delivering \u201cCan\u2019t Let Go\u201d and the title track of the inducted Car Wheels on a Gravel Road. Her 1998 alt-country classic <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-lists\/best-albums-of-all-time-1062063\/lucinda-williams-car-wheels-on-a-gravel-road-4-1063135\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">landed at Number 98 on our Greatest Albums list<\/a>.
