The red carpet is being rolled out once again for the 2026 British Academy Television Awards. Taking place at London\u2019s Royal Festival Hall and broadcast on the BBC, Greg Davies hosts with nominees including Stephen Graham for Leading Actor, Sheridan Smith for Leading Actress, plus This City is Ours<\/a> and A Thousand Blows<\/a> are going head to head for Best Drama Series. Following in the footsteps of the likes of Mr Bates vs the Post Office and I Fought the Law<\/a>, ITV\u2019s latest true crime drama puts the spotlight on another major case that shocked the nation. Daniel Mays plays John Worboys, who used his profession as a taxi driver to prey on women and, in 2009, was convicted for sexually assaulting 12 women. Rightfully so, the drama puts the focus on the ordeal of his victims – played by Aim\u00e9e-Ffion Edwards and Aasiya Shah – and how the Metropolitan Police failed to thoroughly investigate their allegations. Arriving on ITV1 at 9pm on Sunday 10th May. Continues at the same time on Monday 11th May. <\/p>\n

Lesley Manville\u2019s 2022 film is making its way to Netflix and it\u2019s exactly the sort of viewing we all need right now. Lesley is superb as the titular Mrs Harris, a widowed cleaner in 1950s London who falls in love with a couture Dior dress and decides she must have it. That means embarking on an adventure to Paris, where she ends up having quite the influence on the fashion house. A charming, joy-filled film. Arriving on Netflix on Monday 11th May. <\/p>\n

Channel 5\u2019s relatable rags-to-riches drama that\u2019s been dubbed the next Downton Abbey is back for series two. The 1890s Yorkshire-set drama follows the titular Hardacres, led by Claire Cooper\u2019s Mary and Liam McMahon\u2019s Sam, a working-class family who work their way out of poverty and into a vast country estate. Now, we find them the brink of transformation in 1895, as modernity sweeps into Hardacre Hall with electricity and shifting loyalties. Series two is arriving on Channel 5 at 9pm on Thursday 14th May. <\/p>\n

Jilly Cooper\u2019s beloved bonkbuster is finally returning for its second outing. Following series one\u2019s dramatic cliffhanger with Lord Baddingham\u2019s (David Tennant) fate hanging in the balance, he\u2019s now out for vengeance and he\u2019ll stop at nothing to keep Corinium\u2019s empire unrivalled. The first series of this creepy domestic thriller captivated audiences with its nail-biting story of a woman – Tasha (Celine Buckens) – gaslit into believing her husband\u2019s ex-wife was out to get her. Now, the second series is coming to Channel 5 and it\u2019s just as good. Set three months after series one, Tasha and her daughter are hiding overseas under new identities, when they receive news that her former husband, Jack (Tom Mison), has been released from prison.
