stopped by the Today show on Friday to kick off its Summer Concert Series and discuss her new remix album, Midnight Sun (Girls Trip). When taking the stage in front of the massive crowd of fans, the hosts surprised her with a clip of none other than Mick Jagger<\/a>, who had appeared on the show a few days prior for a separate interview.<\/p>\n

In the video, Jagger was asked which contemporary artist he\u2019s been listening to these days, to which the rocker replied, \u201cMy son said to me, \u2018Oh, Zara Larsson is having a big comeback.\u2019 I said, \u2018But she never went away for me.\u2019\u201d Jagger added that he\u2019s been a fan of the singer since her 2018 hit track, \u201cRuin My Life,\u201d and said, \u201cWhen I\u2019m in that mood, that\u2019s what I like.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t believe it,\u201d Larsson said after the clip rolled. \u201cIt\u2019s so beautiful to just see how everyone\u2019s coming on this journey.\u201d<\/p>\n

Elsewhere on the Today show, the 28-year-old Swedish pop star reflected on her journey and career. \u201cNow, as I\u2019m older I really practice to be present and to be in the moment,\u201d Larsson said. \u201cI really do feel like I really take it all in and I feel really grateful and happy for everything that\u2019s happening.\u201d The singer also performed several of her songs for fans including \u201cMidnight Sun,\u201d \u201cPretty Ugly\u201d and \u201cStateside\u201d \u2014 at one point, she invited co-host Sheinelle Jones onstage to join in the \u201cLush Life\u201d dance for a memorable moment.<\/p>\n

In February, Larsson scored her first Grammy nod in the Best Dance Pop Recording category for\u00a0Midnight Sun<\/a>. The singer is also set to launch a run of summer festival shows including BBC\u2019s Radio 1 Big Weekend and Lollapalooza in Chicago.<\/p>\n
