I am so ready for it to be years.\u201d In the lead-up to the album, Abrams will release its first single \u201cHit the Wall\u201d this Thursday at 5 p.m. PT\/8 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAbrams wrote and produced \u201cDaughter From Hell\u201d alongside longtime collaborator Aaron Dessner, who worked with her on her first two albums, 2023\u2019s \u201cGood Riddance\u201d and 2024\u2019s \u201cThe Secret of Us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"c-lazy-image__img lrv-u-background-color-grey-lightest lrv-u-width-100p lrv-u-display-block lrv-u-height-auto\" src=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/wp-content\/themes\/pmc-variety-2020\/assets\/public\/lazyload-fallback.gif\" data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/img-1c9c4885-628b-42f4-bfd2-887332a126d8.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-lazy- data-lazy- height=\"1024\" width=\"1024\" decoding=\"async\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tWhile attending the Met Gala, Abrams provided some insight into what fans can expect from \u201cHit the Wall.\u201d \u201cIt\u2019s the introduction to this new chapter and I feel grateful and relieved that this is the introduction. I love the song so much and I love the people I made it with and it feels embodied and that feels good. So I\u2019m excited for it to belong to everyone else.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAbrams last released her sophomore album \u201cThe Secret of Us\u201d in 2024, becoming her first to hit No. 1 in the United Kingdom, Australia and the Netherlands. The album peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, and led into a world tour that year and a subsequent arena run in 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tIn addition to her music endeavors, Abrams is slated to make her acting debut in the A24 film \u201cPlease\u201d from writer\/director Halina Reijn.
