Blake Lively was told to relax in her efforts to recoup attorneys fees and damages<\/a> connected with Justin Baldoni\u2019s dismissed lawsuit against her.<\/p>\n

The federal judge overseeing the \u201cIt Ends With Us\u201d pair\u2019s seemingly never-ending legal battle<\/a> denied Lively\u2019s request to file additional briefs and other information regarding Baldoni\u2019s $400 million countersuit, per TMZ<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to the outlet, the exhausted judge informed the \u201cGossip Girl\u201d alum that, for the time being, he didn\u2019t need any additional info before making his decision on the matter.<\/p>\n

Reps for Lively and Baldoni did not respond to Page Six\u2019s requests for comment.<\/p>\n

The \u201cIt Ends With Us\u201d co-stars reached a surprising settlement<\/a> in Lively\u2019s December 2024 lawsuit against Baldoni, 42, last Monday.<\/p>\n

Lively, however, is still seeking attorneys fees and damages from the director\u2019s failed January 2025 countersuit.<\/p>\n

The \u201cA Simple Favor\u201d star, 38, previously argued she is owed the fees and damages under a California law created in 2023 to protect sexual abuse accusers from retaliatory claims.<\/p>\n

Although the judge\u00a0dismissed Baldoni\u2019s countersuit<\/a>\u00a0in June 2025, he didn\u2019t rule on whether the 2023 law applied.<\/p>\n

Baldoni\u2019s team opposed Lively\u2019s motion in October 2025 and argued the actress\u2019s filing violated his constitutional right to petition the courts.<\/p>\n

The \u201cIt Ends With Us\u201d director\u2019s team also argued that the California law shouldn\u2019t apply because the alleged sexual harassment incidents would have occurred in New Jersey, where the bulk of the 2024 film was shot.<\/p>\n

As for the surprising settlement, it came just days before the case was scheduled to go to trial on May 18 and just weeks after a judge\u00a0threw out 10 of Lively\u2019s 13 claims<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe end product \u2014 the movie \u2018It Ends With\u00a0Us\u2019 \u2014 is a source of pride to all of us who worked to bring it to life,\u201d both parties said in a joint statement to Page Six.<\/p>\n

\u201cRaising awareness, and\u00a0making a meaningful impact in the lives of domestic violence survivors \u2014 and all survivors \u2014 is a goal that we stand behind,\u201d they added.<\/p>\n

Page Six learned that even though Lively and Baldoni\u00a0spent a combined $60 million<\/a>\u00a0during their 18-month legal war, neither saw a penny<\/a>\u00a0in the agreed-upon settlement.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, both sides have claimed victory in the wake of the grueling and expensive legal battle.<\/p>\n

Baldoni\u2019s attorney, Bryan Freedman, called the settlement a \u201chuge victory\u201d<\/a> while speaking with \u201cTMZ Live\u201d last Tuesday. He also claimed Lively settled because she was \u201cscared\u201d to testify<\/a> at trial.<\/p>\n

Lively\u2019s team then called the settlement a \u201cresounding victory\u201d<\/a> for the \u201cAnother Simple Favor\u201d star following Freedman\u2019s remarks.<\/p>\n
