Andy Halliday was amazed by an unseen moment from Daizen Maeda on Sunday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A moment that definitely didn\u2019t go unseen was Maeda\u2019s<\/a> incredible bicycle kick goal which put the Hoops out of sight on the day.<\/p>\n

It was the second of a quickfire double from the forward, who put in an almighty shift as he so often does in a Celtic<\/a> shirt.<\/p>\n

He is blessed with remarkable natural fitness, and his sprinting capacity has often been praised as world class. Halliday,<\/a> working on the game, couldn\u2019t believe what he saw from the 28-year-old after full-time.<\/p>\n

Halliday:<\/strong> Just to finish on a little light-hearted note, if I may\u2026<\/p>\n

Halliday:<\/strong> Me and Pat are sitting in the gantry here, and we\u2019re seeing 21 of the players hobbling out after what\u2019s been a gruelling 90 minutes.<\/p>\n

Halliday:<\/strong> Daizen Maeda has just come out for a second round of football with his son, and he\u2019s sprinting and taking the mickey out of his son\u2019s stepovers.<\/p>\n

Halliday:<\/strong> He\u2019s by him, the lot. So we\u2019re talking about his level of fitness, he\u2019s not feeling the effects of the game, whatsoever.<\/p>\n

Bonner:<\/strong> He\u2019s just jogging into the goal, here, is there going to be a penalty?<\/p>\n

English:<\/strong> I think they assembled him in a factory in Japan. He\u2019s not human!<\/p>\n

Nevin:<\/strong> I think he\u2019s AI. He\u2019s definitely the AI footballer.<\/p>\n

Bonner:<\/strong> Can we not make a few more of them?<\/p>\n

Gordon:<\/strong> Well, a few Scottish ones would be handy in terms of the national team\u2026 yeah. It\u2019s a quiet Celtic Park there, just Daizen Maeda and one or two others. And, of course, our guys there who will be leaving soon.<\/p>\n

Daizen Maeda\u2019s Celtic season so far<\/p>\n

Maeda didn\u2019t quite hit the heights in the season\u2019s early stages \u2013 but his bombshell revelation that he wanted to leave Celtic<\/a> gave something of an explanation for this.<\/p>\n

In his first game after making his transfer request public, he scored a brilliant diving header against Kilmarnock,<\/a> reassuring fans that he would still show full commitment in a Celtic jersey.<\/p>\n

His next goal was another crucial header, a last-minute winner against Motherwell.<\/a><\/p>\n

Only Benjamin Nygren<\/a> now has more goals than Maeda\u2019s total of 14, of which six have come in his last four appearances.<\/p>\n
