Jimmy Kimmel joked about Taylor Frankie Paul\u2019s \u201cBachelorette\u201d season getting \u201cpulled off air\u201d<\/a> during Tuesday\u2019s Disney upfronts.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t think I\u2019d see you guys again!\u201d the \u201cJimmy Kimmel Live!\u201d host quipped onstage, referencing his temporary suspension<\/a> last year.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been through so much bulls\u2013t this year, it actually made me appreciate this bulls\u2013t,\u201d the comedian, 58, said of the annual presentation event.<\/p>\n

While discussing his own suspension from ABC, he joked that, \u201cin order for ABC to pull you off the air, you have to throw a chair<\/a> at your Mormon boyfriend,\u201d referencing Paul\u2019s domestic violence incident (Paul seen here in April 2026). AP<\/p>\n

The crack was a thinly veiled joke about Paul\u2019s search for love being cancelled in March, days before it was set to premiere.<\/p>\n

Following the jab, Reddit users said they \u201ccan\u2019t wait\u201d<\/a> for the 31-year-old to react to Kimmel\u2019s comment on social media, with one writing that the Emmy winner is \u201cin danger, girl.\u201d<\/p>\n

Paul\u2019s rep did not immediately respond to Page Six\u2019s request for comment.<\/p>\n

When ABC canceled Season 22 of \u201cThe Bachelorette, the \u201cSecret Lives of Mormon Wives\u201d star was under investigation for an alleged incident<\/a> with her on-again, off-again boyfriend<\/a> \u2014 but it was footage from her 2023 domestic violence arrest<\/a> that made the network pull the trigger.<\/p>\n

In the leaked video, recorded on Mortensen\u2019s cell, the MomTok star threw furniture at her then-partner while her 8-year-old daughter, Indy, cried in the background.<\/p>\n

After Paul\u2019s arrest, she accepted a plea deal for a third-degree felony count of aggravated assault, with the aftermath of the scandal documented on her Hulu reality show.<\/p>\n

As the throwback footage went viral earlier this year, ABC released a statement reading, \u201cWe have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of \u2018The Bachelorette\u2019 at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family.\u201d<\/p>\n

We hear there is a chance the season could still be released one day, as ABC \u201csimply paused\u201d it.<\/p>\n

Bachelor Nation members, meanwhile, have expressed mixed feelings over the unprecedented cancellation.<\/p>\n

Ashley Iaconetti, however, agreed it would not have been \u201cappropriate\u201d to air the season in a March interview with Page Six<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The winner of Paul\u2019s season is rumored<\/a> to be singer Doug Mason, and the pair are reportedly \u201ctrying to make [their] relationship work\u201d<\/a> as her and Mortensen\u2019s contentious custody battle over son Ever<\/a>, 2, plays out.<\/p>\n

In their most recent hearing, Paul and Mortensen were both granted three-year restraining orders<\/a> against each other.<\/p>\n

Mortensen and Paul have been on and off since 2022 and share one son. Disney<\/p>\n

Kimmel, who interviewed Paul and co-star Whitney Leavitt<\/a> in 2025, had yet to comment on Paul\u2019s scandal prior to Tuesday\u2019s joke.<\/p>\n

As for his own scandal, Kimmel was benched for a week<\/a> in September 2025 \u2014 at the urging of the Trump administration \u2014 over a comment regarding Charlie Kirk\u2019s death<\/a>.<\/p>\n
