{"id":485087,"date":"2026-05-14T23:14:12","date_gmt":"2026-05-14T23:14:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/485087\/"},"modified":"2026-05-14T23:14:12","modified_gmt":"2026-05-14T23:14:12","slug":"lagos-msmes-support-state-disburses-n1-9bn-to-businesses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/485087\/","title":{"rendered":"Lagos MSMEs Support: State Disburses N1.9bn to Businesses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Lagos State Government says it disbursed about N1.9 billion in loans and grants to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises across the state in 2025.\n<\/p>\n<p>The Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Mr Akinyemi Ajigbotafe, disclosed this on Thursday during the 2026 Ministerial Press Briefing at Alausa, Ikeja.\n<\/p>\n<p>The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the disbursement of funds was to stimulate economic growth, reduce unemployment, and strengthen entrepreneurship.\n<\/p>\n<p>Ajigbotafe said the intervention was implemented through the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund.<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cAffordable loans worth N1.91 billion were disbursed to 4,036 MSMEs, while grants exceeding N23 million were provided to 65 businesses to support expansion, operations, and resilience.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe state government remains committed to empowering entrepreneurs and supporting businesses to thrive in line with the T.H.E.M.E.S Plus Development Agenda of Gov.
