Stacey Solomon has defended her older sister after media reports left the family with no choice but to speak out. The former X Factor star recently returned from a trip to Miami with her two eldest sons and sister Jemma.<\/p>\n
On Instagram Stacey usually posts positive family updates but yesterday<\/a>, the TV star took a different approach as she praised her sister and slammed others for putting the family down. Talking about a MailOnline article, she said: “Some things lately have been said about my sister, including this one in the Daily Mail.<\/p>\n “The article really wasn’t about me, it was basically laying into my sister and being nasty and bullying her. And I mean even in the headline ‘the sister who lives in her shadow’, my sister’s a better woman than I’ll ever be. She is an incredible woman and I think how dare you make her feel like that.”<\/p>\n Stacey spoke about her sister’s career and how important she has been for other people<\/a>, as she continued: “How dare you denounce her 11 years in the NHS as a paediatric nurse down to ‘she used to work as nurse, now she’s desperate to be a full-time influencer’.<\/p>\n “I have people coming up to me in the street, still now, and they come up to me with tears in their eyes telling me how my sister was there for their children when they needed them and the parents, and how she made such an impact on their lives. She is incredible and she’s helped so many people. I’m so proud of her she’s an amazing human.”<\/p>\n Stacey’s message continued: “You work as a paediatric nurse nurse you don’t get anything like that. It used to make me feel sick watching how hard she would work and what little she would get for it. It is ridiculous<\/p>\n “Like what is your problem? She’s not trying to be me, she’s not in my shadow, I’m in her shadow. She’s done more for this world than me, how dare you.”<\/p>\n Content cannot be displayed without consent<\/p>\n The post was captioned: “A Message For My Sister. Sorry for the rant but I just love my sister to the end of the earth and something had to be said. I’m sorry Jem.<\/p>\n “I know certain things will come hand in hand with being my sister but you deserve so much better! To the moon and back Jemma. I actually recorded this yesterday but jet lag got me before I could post it.”<\/p>\n Supportive messages from friends and fans have been sent to Stacey<\/a> and her family. Emmerdale<\/a> star Danny Miller wrote: “Well done girl! Even though you both beat my family on family fortunes many years ago, your family was beautiful from the youngest to eldest.<\/p>\n “Your sister was so lovely and certainly someone I wouldn’t describe as being in any shadow. She shone throughout the whole show and I remember wishing every family was like yours.”<\/p>\n Another response was: “Don’t mess with the Solomon Sisters, there’s a whole army behind you both. Just keep being you.”<\/p>\n Further replies included: “Love this! Jem is amazing and you are both the nicest girls ever.
