{"id":485476,"date":"2026-05-15T05:07:17","date_gmt":"2026-05-15T05:07:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/485476\/"},"modified":"2026-05-15T05:07:17","modified_gmt":"2026-05-15T05:07:17","slug":"drake-drops-iceman-plus-surprise-albums-habibti-maid-of-honour","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/485476\/","title":{"rendered":"Drake Drops &#8216;Iceman&#8217; Plus Surprise Albums &#8216;Habibti,&#8217; &#8216;Maid of Honour&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t<a data-id=\"1236747862\" data-type=\"pmc_list\" href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/lists\/best-drake-songs\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Drake dropped not just one<\/a>, but three new albums on Friday, releasing \u201cIceman\u201d as expected at midnight ET, along with \u201cMaid of Honour\u201d and \u201cHabibti.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tRumors started circulating earlier on Thursday that <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/drake\/\" id=\"auto-tag_drake\" data-tag=\"drake\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Drake<\/a> would release \u201cIceman\u201d followed by \u201cMaid of Honour\u201d about an hour later, according to DJ Hed on X. But Drake announced that the trio of projects would drop simultaneously as his \u201cIceman Episode 4\u201d livestream finished, revealing the album titles and the message, \u201cAll 3 albums dropping at midnight from the biggest sound.\u201d He then unveiled the album cover images with individual posts on Instagram.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tCollectively, the three records have a total of 43 songs and feature guest appearances from Future, 21 Savage, Sexyy Red (on two songs), Qendresa, Molly Santana, Central Cee, Popcaan, PartyNextDoor, Loe Shimmy, Iconic Savvy and Stunna Sandy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tIt\u2019s been a long road to \u201cIceman\u201d for Drake, who has been teasing the project as early as 2024, when he referenced Val Kilmer\u2019s character nicknamed \u201cIceman\u201d in \u201cTop Gun\u201d on social media. Not long after, he shared a screenshot of a folder titled \u201c2.0 \u2013 Iceman,\u201d fanning the flames that the record may be called \u201cIceman.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tDrake began actually teasing the album in July 2025, when he debuted the livestream \u201cIceman Episode 1\u201d on YouTube and previewed several new songs including \u201cWhat Did I Miss?\u201d He then followed with two other livestreams that spawned the singles \u201cWhich One\u201d featuring Central Cee and \u201cDog House\u201d featuring July Wolf and Yeat. Just before the release of \u201cIceman,\u201d he streamed the fourth installment of the series on YouTube.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tIn late April, Drake revealed the release date for \u201cIceman\u201d by setting up a middle of ice blocks that were set up in Toronto as a promotional vehicle for the record. Inside of the blocks of ice was a bag that contained the release date for \u201cIceman,\u201d which was discovered by a streamer named Kishka who retrieved the bag and headed to Drake\u2019s house, where he opened the contents to reveal the date.
