The Buckley family rallied around Jessie Buckley during her incredible run of success during awards season, and now she’s repaying the favour. <\/p>\n

In March, the actress made history as the first Irish actor to win an Oscar<\/a> in the Best Actress in a Leading Role category as Agnes Shakespeare in Hamnet.<\/p>\n

Now, her brother Killian, who told the world how proud he was of his sister at the time of her nomination, has asked for some help in return.<\/p>\n

Killian, who is a mountain guide and is based in Chamonix, France, specialises in outdoor guides and is involved with the environmental group, World Climate Relay.<\/a> <\/p>\n

Taking to social media, Killian, on behalf of the organisation, has appealed to the public to get involved with their latest project to help save the planet. <\/p>\n

Encouraging people to sign up and donate, he has called in a favour from his big sis to help spread the word.<\/p>\n

With over 107,000 followers on her social media, the actress took a little time out of her schedule to post a video in the sun to show support for her brother.<\/p>\n

Speaking to her fans, Jessie said: ‘I’d love to bring your attention today to an incredible event that is happening between the 5th and the 12th of June, called the World Climate Relay.’<\/p>\n

‘My brother, Killian Buckley, who’s a mountain guide, has seen the devastating effects of climate change on our planet and our Natural landscape firsthand,’ Jessie continued. <\/p>\n

She added: ‘And he and some of his friends are part of a fundraising campaign to bring awareness once again to climate change and its effects on our beautiful planet.’<\/p>\n

The actress then asked those watching to help, saying: ‘And, so I’d like to offer and invite you to join us all in supporting this charity, which will raise funds to give to some of the most important climate change charities across the world. And I know we all can feel a bit helpless about where to help sometimes.’<\/p>\n

With over 435,000 views, we have a feeling that a good few people signed up! It does help to have a famous sister after all..<\/p>\n
