{"id":485541,"date":"2026-05-15T06:05:18","date_gmt":"2026-05-15T06:05:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/485541\/"},"modified":"2026-05-15T06:05:18","modified_gmt":"2026-05-15T06:05:18","slug":"clare-businessman-applies-to-demolish-e1m-lahinch-home-and-build-one-double-in-size","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/485541\/","title":{"rendered":"Clare businessman applies to demolish \u20ac1m Lahinch home and build one double in size"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t<a data-no-instant=\"1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gleneaglehotel.com\/\" rel=\"noopener sponsored nofollow\" class=\"a2t-link\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"ClareEchoSummeronlineadvertApr26-ezgif.com-video-to-gif-converter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/ClareEchoSummeronlineadvertApr26-ezgif.com-video-to-gif-converter.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"no-lazyload\" width=\"800\" height=\"370\" style=\"display: inline-block;\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>A well-known Co Clare businessman has lodged plans to demolish a four bedroomed home on a property he and his wife purchased for \u20ac1 million in the seaside resort of Lahinch last Summer and construct a new home more than double in size.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Last Summer, former\u00a0EY\u00a0Entrepreneur of the Year finalist and\u00a0founder of healthcare recruitment group, TTM Healthcare,\u00a0Brian\u00a0Crowley\u00a0and his wife, Susan Crowley purchased Thalassa at Seapark, Lahinch for \u20ac1.005m.<\/p>\n<p>During an online auction which lasted 1 hr and seven minutes last June where bidding started at \u20ac650,000, the Crowleys beat off bids from five other bidders to purchase the property for \u20ac1.005 million.<\/p>\n<p>The online brochure for the property \u2013 built in 1971 \u2013 stated that \u201csituated on an elevated site with uninterrupted panoramic views overlooking Lahinch Beach, \u2018Thalassa\u2019 is a home in one of the most sought after locations along the west coast of Ireland\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>An entry on the Residential Price Property Register confirms that the \u20ac1.005 million sale went through on August 13th last.<\/p>\n<p>Now, Brian and Susan Crowley have lodged plans with Clare County Council to demolish Thalassa and construct\u00a0\u00a0a new detached dwelling.<\/p>\n<p>The new home will be more than double the size in floor space than Thalassa with gross floor space of the new home at 314 sq m\u00a0compared to the 126 sq m for Thalassa.<\/p>\n<p>Mr\u00a0Crowley\u00a0represented Ireland in boxing at under-age level and in 2024 TTM Healthcare generated revenues of \u20ac144.26 million in 2024 as pre-tax profits increased by 8 per cent to \u20ac12.46 million.
