Known for earning acclaim every time he steps into rustic and rooted characters, as in Omkara, the actor is now gearing up for another memorable performance with the Netflix film.

The recently-released trailer revealed Khan donning the police uniform once again, this time as a conflicted cop torn between his duty and conscience. Fans were thrilled to see the actor take on yet another intense role. While his intense screen presence became one of the talking-points online, many also praised his Haryanvi dialect, stating that it adds depth and authenticity to the performance.

Ahead of the film’s release, Saif opened up about learning the dialect. He said, “Getting the dialect right was probably the trickiest part because it is not just about learning lines, it is about understanding the culture and the nuances behind the words. Every accent carries a certain identity and honesty and that was important for me to capture.”

“It definitely took time and a lot of practice. I kept reading, listening, repeating lines constantly and slowly it started feeling more natural. I still feel like there is always room to improve, but director Pulkit was very happy with where we reached. Honestly, with enough practice, accents become much easier and I think I can pull off a fairly convincing Haryanvi accent now,” he added.

Saif Ali Khan has a truly exciting year ahead.
