\n\tAfter Drake <\/a>revealed his father was battling cancer on Iceman\u2018s<\/a> opening track \u201cMake Them Cry,\u201d Dennis Graham clarified to TMZ<\/a> that it was in the past and he\u2019s doing fine these days.<\/p>\n

\n\tPaparazzi tracked Graham down early Friday (May 15) outside Jubilee in West Hollywood, where he was asked about his health. \u201cNo, that was a while back,\u201d Graham said. \u201cI\u2019m OK now. I\u2019m wonderful.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIt\u2019s not clear when Drake recorded the track. Billboard has reached out to Drake for comment.<\/p>\n

\n\tDrake\u2019s dad also stated that his \u201cphone\u2019s been going off all night\u201d after the diagnosis was revealed by his son on Iceman. The 71-year-old had a message of appreciation for the OVO fans\u2019 concerns. \u201cThank you guys for the concern, I love you all. From the bottom of my heart, I appreciate you,\u201d he continued. <\/p>\n

\n\tFans initially heard Drake make the revelation on the Iceman episode four livestream <\/a>on Thursday night (May 14), before the album found its way onto streaming services at midnight Friday. Iceman wasn\u2019t the only Drake album to arrive, as he surprised the world with another pair of projects titled Habibti and Maid of Honour.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cMy dad got cancer right now\/ We battling stages\/ Trust me when I say there\u2019s things I\u2019d rather be facing,\u201d he vulnerably admits on \u201cMake Them Cry.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tEarlier in the track, Drake appears to get candid about his relationship with his father, which isn\u2019t the typical father-son connection, as he looks at him more like an \u201colder brother.\u201d \u201cI have to father my mother and treat my son\u2019s grandfather like my older brother,\u201d he raps. <\/p>\n

\n\tAs for Dennis Graham\u2019s health, his cancer seems to be under control. He told the pap in the video shared by TMZ, \u201cIt was lung cancer at first \u2026 but fortunately, I got a message that it disappeared,\u201d Graham revealed. \u201cSo here I am.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIceman serves as Drake\u2019s ninth studio album, and he\u2019s got another two LPs to stand alongside the project to boast 43 tracks in total and a runtime of more than two-and-a-half hours.<\/p>\n
