A day after it was reported that Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt parted ways<\/a>, new details have emerged.<\/p>\n

A source told People on Friday that the \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d alum and model \u2014 who welcomed daughter Scottie<\/a> in December \u2014 would \u201clike to be friends and do things together, but it\u2019s difficult to think about getting to that place right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

The source added that behind the scenes, Davidson and Hewitt are \u201cnot getting along\u201d following the birth of their daughter. <\/p>\n

\u201cThey were already struggling a bit while Elsie was pregnant,\u201d the insider continued. \u201cThings just happened so quickly between them and they didn\u2019t know each other very well.\u201d<\/p>\n

Davidson, 32, and Hewitt, 30 are said to be \u201ctrying to work through\u201d how they\u2019ll \u201cbe able to co-parent\u201d their infant daughter after pulling the plug on their relationship. <\/p>\n

The insider said the couple, seen above with their daughter in an Instagram post, were already \u201cstruggling a bit\u201d during Hewitt\u2019s pregnancy. Elsie Hewitt\/Instagram<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s not fighting Pete on seeing the baby, but it\u2019s not smooth sailing,\u201d the source said of the emerging post-split dynamic. <\/p>\n

They called the \u201cKing of Staten Island\u201d star a \u201csoftie\u201d who does \u201cwant to be with the woman he has a child with.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not totally out of the question,\u201d they explained, noting that the \u201csplit was mutual.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reps for Davidson and Hewitt did not immediately respond to Page Six\u2019s request for comment on Friday evening. <\/p>\n

On Thursday, the Sun reported that Davidson\u2019s busy schedule had factored into the split. \u201cPete has been traveling so much for work, but Elsie was craving more support from him at home after their daughter was born,\u201d a source told the outlet.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was very hard for him because, obviously, he has to work to make money,\u201d they explained. <\/p>\n

Another source told the outlet that the split had happened recently, and that they are now \u201cjust focusing 100% on Scottie.\u201d<\/p>\n

The alleged breakup apparently didn\u2019t come out of the blue \u2014 a source told Page Six earlier in May that the duo was\u00a0\u201cnavigating relationship struggles\u201d<\/a> and that it was \u201cunclear\u201d how things might pan out for them. <\/p>\n

Hewitt and Davidson first publicly flaunted their whirlwind romance with a\u00a0PDA-packed vacation<\/a>\u00a0in Palm Beach\u00a0in March 2025, with the model\u00a0debuting her baby bump<\/a>\u00a0in a triumphant July 2025 Instagram upload. <\/p>\n

The couple enjoyed a\u00a0bunny-themed baby shower<\/a>\u00a0before welcoming Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson on Dec. 12, with Hewitt labeling the infant their \u201cperfect angel girl\u201d via Instagram. <\/p>\n

The \u201cBupkis\u201d star has made no secret over the years about his desire to raise a family of his own. \u201c[I\u2019m] definitely a family guy,\u201d he\u00a0told Kevin Hart on \u201cHart to Heart\u201d\u00a0in 2022.<\/p>\n
