Jackson for U.S."},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<br \/>Aura Entertainment has picked up U.S. rights to The Beast, a new action-thriller from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/renny-harlin\/\" id=\"auto-tag_renny-harlin_1\" data-tag=\"renny-harlin\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Renny Harlin<\/a> (Cliffhanger, Die Hard 2), starring <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/samuel-l-jackson\/\" id=\"auto-tag_samuel-l-jackson_1\" data-tag=\"samuel-l-jackson\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Samuel L. Jackson<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/joel-kinnaman\/\" id=\"auto-tag_joel-kinnaman_1\" data-tag=\"joel-kinnaman\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Joel Kinnaman<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tJackson plays a U.S. President who comes under attack as a militia group tries to stage a coup. Caught inside the presidential limousine, code-named \u2018The Beast\u2019 by the Secret Service, he discovers the car is also a superweapon, with highly-classified offensive capabilities. He decides to use the machine to, in the words of the promo blurb, \u201cto fight his way back to safety, his country, and the woman he loves.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe Beast is produced by Keith Kjarval, Wayne Godfrey, Nicki Cortese, Rob Van Norden, and John Logan Pierson, together with Fifth Season. Aura Entertainment are planning a fourth quarter theatrical release for the film. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cThe Beast is exactly the kind of film that gets audiences back in theaters,\u201d said Aura Entertainment CEO Marc Goldberg. \u201cRenny Harlin knows how to deliver action at the highest level, and with Samuel L. Jackson and Joel Kinnaman leading the charge, this film is going to be an absolute must-see event. We couldn\u2019t be more excited to bring it to audiences this fall.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe deal was negotiated by Goldberg on behalf of Aura and by WME Independent on behalf of the filmmakers. WME Independent is representing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/international\/\" id=\"auto-tag_international_1\" data-tag=\"international\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">international<\/a> sales on the title.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe Beast adds to Aura\u2019s growing slate. The company, launched by Capstone Studios, Signature Entertainment, and Ascending Media Group ahead of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/cannes-film-market\/\" id=\"auto-tag_cannes-film-market_1\" data-tag=\"cannes-film-market\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cannes film market<\/a> last year, has since rollout out action comedy Code 3, starring Rainn Wilson, Lil Rel Howery and Aimee Carrero; K-Pops!, the directorial debut of rapper Anderson .Paak; and the Dave Bautista action movie Trap House.
