With no children or regular guests to host, the existing three-bedroom layout was adapted to leave one main bedroom and a variety of versatile living spaces.<\/p>\n<p>The bedroom was relocated from the first floor to the upper-ground floor, allowing the main living space to replace it and make the most of the light and views towards a nearby square.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2327471 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/heion-house-studio-hagen-hall-london-townhouse_dezeen_2364_col_23-852x1149.jpg\" alt=\"Living space with integrated joinery\" width=\"1752\" height=\"2364\"   loading=\"lazy\"\/>Hagen Hall focused on redefining the interior through the use of integrated joinery<\/p>\n<p>A new entrance hall was designed to incorporate a genkan \u2013 a traditional Japanese entryway step for removing shoes \u2013 which provides access to the primary bedroom suite.<\/p>\n<p>The suite comprises a bedroom and an adjoining dressing room that occupy the former lounge. The two spaces are divided by a full-height sliding panel that was built into the bespoke cabinetry by fabricators <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timgaudin.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">TG + Co<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2327472 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/heion-house-studio-hagen-hall-london-townhouse_dezeen_2364_col_32-852x1071.jpg\" alt=\"Oak bookcases\" width=\"1880\" height=\"2364\"   loading=\"lazy\"\/>Oak was used throughout<\/p>\n<p>A single step connects the hallway with a bathroom featuring a palette of white mosaic tiles, micro cement floors and oak joinery. An internal window that can be opened using a sliding panel in the next-door room provides a visual connection between the spaces.<\/p>\n<p>The room to the rear of the building contains a freestanding oak bath overlooking the garden.
