Roy Keane has revealed his \u201cdoubts\u201d with Manchester United appointing Michael Carrick permanently and he has raised two \u201chuge problems\u201d.<\/p>\n
On Sunday afternoon, Man Utd<\/strong><\/a> beat Nottm Forest 3-2 in a thrilling match to seal third place in the Premier League.<\/p>\n Carrick<\/strong><\/a>, who is set to become United\u2019s next permanent manager, has helped to turn around his side\u2019s season since replacing Ruben Amorim, having won eleven of his 16 matches to seal Champions League qualification.<\/p>\n Still, Carrick faces a very different challenge next season as he juggles several competitions, so the Red Devils need to be busy in this summer\u2019s transfer window.<\/p>\n And Keane did not sound too convinced about Carrick when he was asked whether he deserves the permanent job.<\/p>\n \u201cYeah, he\u2019s been in the driving seat the last few months,\u201d Keane said on Sky Sports when asked if Carrick deserves to become Man Utd\u2019s next permanent manager.<\/p>\n READ: Carrick sets Man Utd up to become best-ever Premier League champions after five-word Neville summary<\/a> \u201cI\u2019m guessing the remit for him was to get in the Champions League, they\u2019ve done that but there\u2019s still huge problems ahead. We obviously don\u2019t know what other managers they spoke to.<\/p>\n \u201cBut the fact he was winning football matches\u2026 but still huge problems at United. Huge problems.\u201d<\/p>\n Keane has also revealed two key areas for Carrick to fix this summer, while he has one main concern about United\u2019s boss.<\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s going to be part of his remit now in terms of recruitment, getting players in, getting some physicality in the middle of the park, stop giving up the amount of goals they\u2019ve been giving, that\u2019s now the bigger picture he\u2019s got to try and fix,\u201d Keane added.<\/p>\n
