GREENFIELD \u2014 Nonprofit behavioral health agency Clinical & Support Options (CSO) will host the\u00a024th annual Mental Health & Wellness Fair\u00a0on\u00a0Wednesday, May 20,\u00a0from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.\u00a0at\u00a0Energy Park, offering a free, family-friendly event designed to connect community members with health and human services resources.<\/p>\n
The annual fair is a longstanding community tradition held each May in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month. It is organized by CSO\u2019s Clubhouse-model programs, Green River House in Greenfield and Quabbin House in Orange.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s theme, \u201cKind Hearts, Strong Minds,\u201d reflects the fair\u2019s focus on resiliency through kindness and connection \u2014 bringing together individuals, families, providers and community partners in an effort to promote well-being and end the stigma associated with mental health challenges.<\/p>\n
\u201cEach year, our Clubhouse community members step up to offer Franklin County a local event that can make a real difference in connecting folks with beneficial services and providers,\u201d CSO President and CEO Karin Jeffers said in a statement. \u201cTheir resiliency and strength are matched only by their empathy for others, which makes this year\u2019s theme, \u2018Kind Hearts, Strong Minds,\u2019 so appropriate.\u201d<\/p>\n
There will be more than 40 participating organizations and vendors \u2014 the majority representing nonprofit and human service providers. In addition to resource tables, the fair will feature live music, local artisans, games and activities, and a food truck.<\/p>\n
