Le Caberet<\/a>, the Moulin-Rouge inspired club on Cork City\u2019s Washington Street, is set to launch a new LGBTQ+ club night – just in time for the June bank holiday weekend.<\/p>\n

The promoters say Slay at Le Cabaret is “all about bringing something fresh, fun, and full of variety back to the city”, with a different artist, theme, and DJ each month. Local singer-songwriter Ger Ahern<\/a> will open this month\u2019s night on Sunday 31st of May, followed by a DJ spinning a mix of classic anthems.<\/p>\n

Early bird tickets are \u20ac8 each and available from Eventbrite.<\/a> It’s an over 22s venue and ID is required for entry.<\/p>\n

Le Cabaret is one of a number of bars in the city owned by Reardens Group<\/a>, who also run Reardens, The Secret Garden and The Hidden Attic.<\/p>\n

The bar, which sits above Reardens (formerly Havanas), is being described as a “a place where stories are born & memories are created!” You can catch a whole host of entertainers, from comedians to burlesque dancers, performing here.<\/p>\n

Organisers Chris and Johnathon said \u201cWe are two people on the gay scene for years who want to bring a bit of variety back to Cork’s gay scene.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wilde, which opened on Oliver Plunkett Street, is currently the only gay nightclub in Cork city, and busy most weekends.<\/p>\n
