\u2018Eight years ago today\u2026\u2019 the Duchess wrote on Instagram<\/a>, crediting the new photos (some of which had been glimpsed in the couple\u2019s Netflix documentary) to her \u2018wonderful\u2019 photographer, Chris Allerton. The photos are a marked aesthetic shift from the traditional royal wedding snapshots: Meghan and Harry on the dance floor, twirling underneath a wisteria with the bride in her Stella McCartney reception dress, sharing a kiss as their loved ones throw shapes around them.<\/p>\n

In addition to shots from the reception, Meghan went on to share a number of new photographs from the ceremony itself, which took place in St George\u2019s Chapel at Windsor<\/a> Castle on 19 May 2018. The images offer a fresh look at her Clare Waight Keller gown, with its 16-foot train. In another picture, Prince Harry takes a look at his wife\u2019s bouquet, which movingly featured blooms that he had chosen, including forget-me-nots, Princess Diana<\/a>\u2019s favourite flower.<\/p>\n

Meghan Markle can also be seen wearing Queen Mary\u2019s diamond bandeau tiara<\/a>, the Art<\/a> Deco headpiece that was lent to her by Queen Elizabeth II<\/a>, who herself inherited it upon her accession to the throne. Elsewhere, the Duchess of Sussex<\/a> shared photographs of the congregation, which included the likes of George and Amal Clooney, David and Victoria<\/a> Beckham, Sofia Wellesley and James Blunt, Chelsy Davy, Cressida Bonas<\/a>, Serena Williams, and Oprah Winfrey (whose dress was made overnight by Stella McCartney, after the legendary talk show host realised her original gown was \u2018too white\u2019 to wear at a wedding)<\/p>\n
