Vital funds to support Jeffery and his family<\/p>\n

Jeffery Kavanagh, Dad of three from Charleville<\/p>\n

What started out as stomach pains and treated with painkillers, turned into a devastating diagnosis for one Cork dad of three.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Charleville native, Jeffery Kavanagh, now living in Crusheen, Clare, is known to his friends and community as a “devoted partner” and a hard-working family man. He is currently battling stage four cancer. Now, his friends are fundraising to support him and his family.<\/p>\n

Just over \u20ac15,000 has already been raised, but there is more needed, and you can support them here<\/a> with a special GoFundMe appeal.<\/p>\n

His friends, who are organising the appeal say: “For months, Jeffrey had stomach pains. His blood tests came back normal, so doctors thought it was an ulcer and treated him with antibiotics and painkillers. He pushed through, even going on a family holiday so his kids wouldn\u2019t miss out. But when he got home, he knew something wasn\u2019t right, and after a few days of tests, he was diagnosed with stage four cancer.”<\/p>\n

Since that devastating diagnosis, his life has changed overnight. His friends say that between constant hospital trips, medical bills, and time away from work, the financial pressure is building fast for Jeffrey and his partner Liene as they focus on caring for their 3 kids.<\/p>\n

All donations will go towards medical bills and treatment costs, travel costs to and from hospital appointments, and day-to-day bills while Jeffery is unable to work. You can donate here.<\/a><\/p>\n

His friends say the young father of 3 is staying strong and positive despite the severe health challenges he now faces.<\/p>\n

“Jeffrey\u2019s fighting this with incredible strength and positivity, but he shouldn\u2019t have to fight the financial side alone. If you\u2019ve ever worked with Jeffrey, laughed with him, or been on the receiving end of his kindness, you know he\u2019s the type of person who would do anything for you. Now it\u2019s our turn to do the same for him.”<\/p>\n
