Rumer Willis revealed the moment she knew it was over between her and her daughter Louetta\u2019s father, musician Derek Richard Thomas.<\/p>\n

Willis told \u201cThe Inside Edit\u201d podcast<\/a> host Maeve Reilly on Wednesday\u2019s episode that it was Reilly\u2019s wedding that made her realize she didn\u2019t want to be with Thomas anymore. Willis attended the celebrity stylist\u2019s June 2024 wedding<\/a> to real estate agent Zach Quittman\u2019s in the Cayman Islands.<\/p>\n

\u201cYour wedding was a huge reckoning moment for me,\u201d Willis told Reilly. \u201cI heard your vows and I just realized that the situation I was in was never going to look like that, no matter how much effort I put in.\u201d<\/p>\n

She recalled, \u201cAnd I was just watching you guys \u2014 just weeping, holding my child \u2014 and I just thought, you know what? I need to have more value for myself.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rumer Willis revealed on her friend Maeve Reilly\u2019s podcast, \u201cThe Inside Edit,\u201d that it was Reilly\u2019s 2024 wedding that made her realize she needed to break up with her now ex, musician Derek Richard Thomas. The Inside Edit<\/p>\n

Willis told Reilly that watching the celeb stylist and and her husband, Zach Quittman, exchange their vows made her realize that her relationship with Thomas was never going to be at that level. The Inside Edit<\/p>\n

\u201cI need to go and like, leave, no matter how scared I am and find something that looks like this, because I want that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Willis, 37, and Thomas, 31, were first linked in May 2022, and welcomed<\/a> daughter Louetta in April 2023. <\/p>\n

But Willis confirmed the two had separated<\/a> and were co-parenting in August 2024.<\/p>\n

Willis said she was just starting to feel \u201cback in her power again\u201d after going through the breakup.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was really brutal and challenging,\u201d she said of her relationship with Thomas. \u201cAnd I\u2019m so proud of myself, you know? I work hard and I show up for my kid and it\u2019s such a privilege.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s such a privilege to be a mom,\u201d she continued. \u201cIt makes me so happy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Willis said she was grateful for the tough experience because she now had a higher set of standards for the next relationship she gets into.<\/p>\n

She then shared that she was manifesting getting married next year and having more kids.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m gonna meet this wonderful man,\u201d she said of what she\u2019s putting out in the universe for herself. \u201cI can\u2019t wait \u2014 I\u2019m gonna have, like, seven more \u2026 I want to have like, eight kids. I\u2019m so excited.\u201d<\/p>\n
