When complete the development will contain 60 large data centres.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2026\/05\/21\/gensler-thistle-data-center-phoenix-corten-steel\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2329758 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/gensler-thistle-data-center-arizona-corten_dezeen_2364_hero-852x479.jpg\" alt=\"Thistle Data Center Campus by Gensler\" width=\"2364\" height=\"1330\"   loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2026\/05\/21\/gensler-thistle-data-center-phoenix-corten-steel\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Gensler also designed the Thistle Data Center<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Another data centre design by Gensler was also revealed this week.<\/p>\n<p>The studio <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2026\/05\/21\/gensler-thistle-data-center-phoenix-corten-steel\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">released renders of Thistle Data Center Campus in Arizona, USA<\/a>, which will have a weathering steel facade. According to Gensler, the project was designed to &#8220;offer a meaningful civic contribution&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2026\/05\/19\/corniche-skyscraper-foster-partners-trial-london\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2328420 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/1779531978_313_corniche-skyscraper-foster-partners-trial-london_dezeen_2364_col_1-852x479.jpg\" alt=\"The Corniche tower in London by Foster + Partners\" width=\"2364\" height=\"1330\"   loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2026\/05\/19\/corniche-skyscraper-foster-partners-trial-london\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Foster + Partners is set to stand trial in London<\/a><\/p>\n<p>UK architecture studio Foster + Partners faced court this week. The firm <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2026\/05\/19\/corniche-skyscraper-foster-partners-trial-london\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">is set to stand trial over alleged health and safety failings<\/a> at The Corniche towers in London, where <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2018\/10\/04\/man-dead-london-foster-partners-corniche-tower-architecture-news\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a man was killed in 2018 by a window pane<\/a> that fell from the building&#8217;s penthouse.<\/p>\n<p>Together with developer St James Group, contractor Lindner Prater and engineering consultant Wintech, the studio is facing charges for exposing people to risks related to &#8220;the outward opening penthouse window vents&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2026\/05\/20\/barber-osgerby-close-studio-30-years\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2318179 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/barber-osgerby_dezeen_2364_hero_0.jpg\" alt=\"Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby\" width=\"2364\" height=\"1330\"  loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2026\/05\/20\/barber-osgerby-close-studio-30-years\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Barber Osgerby is closing its studio after 30 years<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Two well-known design studios announced closures this week. British designers<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2026\/05\/20\/barber-osgerby-close-studio-30-years\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby are closing their eponymous London studio<\/a> after three decades and will instead establish their own independent studios.<\/p>\n<p>And after 20 years in business, designer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2026\/05\/20\/michael-anastassiades-closes-lighting-brand\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Michael Anastassiades is closing his lighting brand<\/a> and will dedicate his free time\u00a0 &#8220;solely to creating things&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2026\/05\/19\/louvre-renovation-entrances-selldorf-architects-studios-architecture-winner\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2328499 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/louvre-renovation-entrances-selldorf-architects-studios-architecture-winner_dezeen_2364_hero_2-852x4.jpeg\" alt=\"Mus\u00e9e du Louvre renovation\" width=\"2364\" height=\"1330\"   loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2026\/05\/19\/louvre-renovation-entrances-selldorf-architects-studios-architecture-winner\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Selldorf Architects and Studios Architecture have designed subterranean entrances to the Louvre<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In Paris, New York studio Selldorf Architects and Paris-based Studios Architecture are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2026\/05\/19\/louvre-renovation-entrances-selldorf-architects-studios-architecture-winner\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">set to add subterranean entrances to the Mus\u00e9e du Louvre after winning a competition<\/a>. It is the museum&#8217;s biggest renovation\u00a0for 35 years.<\/p>\n<p>The city also saw an artistic intervention on its Pont Neuf bridge, which French street artist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2026\/05\/22\/jr-la-caverne-du-pont-neuf\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">JR covered with an inflatable cave-like installation<\/a> that pays homage to the work of artists Christo and Jeanne-Claude.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2026\/05\/20\/google-samsung-intelligent-eyewear\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2329078 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/google-samsung-intelligent-eyewear-design_dezeen_1704_col_3-852x480.jpg\" alt=\"Google glasses with Gentle Monster\" width=\"1704\" height=\"959\"   loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2026\/05\/20\/google-samsung-intelligent-eyewear\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Google and Gentle Monster are releasing AI sunglasses<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Technology company Google teamed up with two eyewear brands, Gentle Monster and Warby Parker, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2026\/05\/20\/google-samsung-intelligent-eyewear\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">to launch AI-powered Intelligent Eyewear<\/a>.
