<\/p>\nFans of The Script have been left questioning the future of founding drummer Glen Power after he was absent from the band’s new album and tour announcement.<\/p>\n

Fans of Irish group The Script <\/a>have been left puzzled by the absence of founding member and drummer Glen Power from the announcement of the band\u2019s new album and arena tour.<\/p>\n Power set up the group in 2001 with the late guitarist Mark Sheehan, who died in 2023, and vocalist Danny O\u2019Donoghue<\/a>.<\/p>\n But publicity shots for the new Script album The User\u2019s Guide To Being Human show the singer with new members Andrew Frampton, Steve Kipner and Jimbo Barry and no sign of Power.<\/p>\n And while the press release for the new album acknowledges Sheehan\u2019s tragic passing, there is no mention at all of Power, much to the bewilderment of fans.<\/p>\n Power had withdrawn from the Asia and Australia legs of The Script\u2019s Satellites World Tour in early 2025 due to reported \u201cpersonal circumstances\u201d.<\/p>\n But now he seems to have left the fold for good, and the lack of an official statement on the presumed departure has annoyed some long-term supporters.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Danny and his new bandmates are going on tour later this year, with two shows pencilled in for 3Arena Dublin<\/a> in October and one show at SSE Arena Belfast <\/a>in November. Tickets go on sale next Friday.<\/p>\n Ahead of all that, they are supporting Luke Combs at Slane Castle and are touring as Take That\u2019s <\/a>support band this summer in the UK.<\/p>\n
