Beach season is upon us in Los Angeles, as is the highly-anticipated reboot of one of the city\u2019s most iconic shows.<\/p>\n
On Saturday, Baywatch reboot star Stephen Amell shared Fox\u2019s first teaser for the upcoming series, including looks at him and co-stars Brooks Nader, Jessica Belkin and Livvy Dunne in their iconic red swimsuits.<\/p>\n
More from Deadline<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cI dream in slow motion,\u201d Amell captioned the brief promo<\/a>.<\/p>\n With filming taking place through July, following a $21.1 million tax credit<\/a> from the California Film Commission, Baywatch is scheduled to premiere on Fox in January.<\/p>\n On the rebooted Baywatch, the wild child Hobie Buchannon (Amell) from the original series is now a Baywatch captain, following in the footsteps of his legendary father, Mitch (played by David Hasselhoff in the OG series). Hobie\u2019s world is turned upside down when Charlie (Jessica Belkin), the daughter he never knew, shows up on his doorstep, eager to carry on the Buchannon family legacy and become a Baywatch lifeguard alongside her dad.<\/p>\n The series also stars Shay Mitchell as Trina, Hassie Harrison as Nat, Thaddeus LaGrone as Brad, Noah Beck as Luke and Nader as Selene. In a recurring role, Dunne will make her acting debut as Grace. David Chokachi and Erika Eleniak will reprise their original series roles as Cody Madison and Shauni McClain.<\/p>\n Baywatch is co-produced by Fox Entertainment and Fremantle with Matt Nix (Burn Notice, The Gifted) serving as showrunner and executive producer.
