We\u2019re getting a first glimpse of another Big Bang Theory alum in the upcoming spinoff Stuart Fails to Save the Universe. <\/p>\n
Wil Wheaton, who recurred as a heightened version of himself in the mothership series, makes a very quick cameo appearance in a new sizzle reel released Sunday by HBO Max. At the 30-second mark, he flashes by, appearing inside Stuart\u2019s comic book store, apparently firing an energy blast at Stuart, Denise, Bert and Kripke. You can watch the clip below.<\/p>\n
More from Deadline<\/strong><\/p>\n Wheaton appeared in 17 episodes of The Big Bang Theory in seasons 3 through 12.<\/p>\n The spinoff revolves around comic book store owner Stuart Bloom (Kevin Sussman<\/a>) who is tasked with restoring reality after he breaks a device built by Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki), accidentally bringing about a multiverse Armageddon. Stuart is aided in this quest by his girlfriend Denise (Lauren Lapkus), geologist friend Bert (Brian Posehn) and quantum physicist\/all-around pain in the ass Barry Kripke (John Ross Bowie). Along the way, they meet alternate-universe versions of characters we\u2019ve come to know and love from\u00a0The Big Bang Theory.\u00a0As the title implies, things don\u2019t go well.<\/p>\n Stuart Fails To Save The Universe is written and executive produced by\u00a0Chuck Lorre<\/a>, co-creator and executive producer of\u00a0Big Bang\u00a0and all of its spinoffs to date, Zak Penn and\u00a0Big Bang\u00a0co-creator Bill Prady. Emmy, Grammy winner and Oscar-nominee Danny Elfman composed original them music for the series. The spinoff is produced by Chuck Lorre Productions in association with Warner Bros.
