\n\t\u201cOff Campus<\/a>,\u201d the new romantic drama series about college hockey players, is the third most-watched debut series in the history of Amazon Prime Video<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tAmazon says that the series reached 36 million viewers in its first 12 days of streaming. It\u2019s important to note that the company does not publicly define what counts as a \u201cviewer,\u201d therefore it\u2019s possible that a person who watched only a few seconds or minutes of a single episode is being counted in that total. However, \u201cOff Campus\u201d can still reliably be considered a success for Prime Video: Even with unclear metrics, per Amazon, the only debut series to ever outperform it have been \u201cThe Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power\u201d and \u201cFallout.\u201d That means \u201cOff Campus\u201d is tracking above heavyweights like \u201cThe Boys,\u201d \u201cReacher,\u201d \u201cThe Summer I Turned Pretty\u201d and more. (All series were compared based on the first 12 days of viewership for their first seasons.)<\/p>\n

\n\tAmong female viewers age 18-34 alone, \u201cOff Campus\u201d is Prime Video\u2019s No. 1 debut of all time. The series is poised to help Amazon retain the viewership base it grew over the course of \u201cThe Summer I Turned Pretty,\u201d another romantic drama aimed at teens and young adults, which became a hit by the time its third and final season was released. Per Amazon, \u201cThe Summer I Turned Pretty\u201d Season 3 hit 70 million viewers in its first 70 days of streaming, a 65% increase from the 70-day total reached by Season 2. It was also Amazon\u2019s No. 1 television season of all time among women 18-34.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cOff Campus\u201d stars Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli. Louisa Levy created the series and serves as co-showrunner with Gina Fattore. Both executive produce alongside Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen, James Seidman, Leanna Billings and Neal Flaherty.<\/p>\n
